Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Frank Sinatra (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Siegfried Keskimulkku (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Siegfried Keskimulkku struggled to make weight for this fight. He only made it down to 186.5lbs at the first attempt and had to take the additional two hours to make the official bout weight. Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
2 - 1 - 1, fighting out of Las Vegas, Frank Sinatra! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
7 - 5 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Siegfried Keskimulkku! The judges for this bout are Cecil Peabody, Robert Twigg and Stewart Dunkirk.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Keskimulkku takes a jab right on the nose. That must have hurt but he shrugs his shoulders and looks to return the favor. Sinatra misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out. Sinatra ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Keskimulkku moves away. Keskimulkku gets caught on his heels momentarily as he allows Sinatra to score an easy takedown into full guard. Sinatra drops back looking for a heel hook - he quickly realises he's not going to get it but Keskimulkku manages to dive on top of him before he can escape and now Sinatra has Keskimulkku in his guard.
That's one minute gone in the round. Sinatra trying to control the position here. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Sinatra looking for a guillotine here but Keskimulkku defends easily.
That's two minutes gone in the round. A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd. Sinatra had isolated an arm as going for a kimura. Keskimulkku defends it easily. Keskimulkku avoids a guillotine attempt easily.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Keskimulkku stopping the sweep attempt from Sinatra.
That's four minutes gone in the round. The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight. Sinatra has thrown up a leg looking for a triangle. Keskimulkku doesn't defend quickly enough and Sinatra has managed to lock this one up! Can Keskimulkku escape?! NO! He's tapping out! Damn, that was a quick submission - congrats to Sinatra on a fantastic submission victory.
