Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Usali Basilisk (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Bala Jujuba (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Basilisk comes to the cage accompanied by "welcome To My Nightmare" - Alice Cooper. We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are Roosa Järviläinen, Arvi Lind and Marco Blurström.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
A clash of legs there as Basilisk blocks the low kick.
Jujuba throws a head kick that misses.
Jujuba gets taken down but at least he's managed to land in guard.
Jujuba avoiding any damage from the ground and pound.
Jujuba looking to hit a scissor sweep but Basilisk is one step ahead there.
Jujuba is persisting with the attempt to improve his position.
Basilisk really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Basilisk got a little sloppy there for a moment and Jujuba has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Basilisk has managed to get both his arms back between Jujuba's legs - danger averted.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Basilisk has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.

Jujuba is looking to control Basilisk's leg but it's slowly edging free. Can Jujuba avoid being mounted?
Still in half guard, Basilisk seems content to control.

It looks like we're going to have a standup here. Neither fighter is doing enough on the ground.
Jujuba doesn't succeed with the takedown
and Basilisk counters with a shoot takedown. Jujuba fights it but they end up in guard.
Jujuba wants to get back to his feet but Basilisk is in a dominant position and won't allow it.

Basilisk can't do much from the bottom at the moment, as Jujuba controls the pace.
Basilisk manages to land a sweep and now he's in mount on top!
The referee warns Jujuba that he has to improve his position here as he takes two more clean shots to the head.
Basilisk with some aggressive grappling here. He's looking for submissions here, rather than waiting for the opportunity to counter.
Basilisk lands a shot to the body, followed up by a shot to the exposed head of his trapped opponent.

The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action!

and Jujuba counters with a nice double leg into side control. Basilisk won't be happy with that.
Jujuba with the ground and pound but Basilisk regains half guard under the barage of strikes.
Basilisk is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though.
Jujuba is keen to just control but Basilisk is a slippery customer.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.

Jujuba is thinking about going for an arm triangle but he can't free his leg.
Jujuba moves nicely into side control.
Jujuba is trying to move to mount but Basilisk reverses beautifully and ends up in Jujuba's guard.

The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action.
Basilisk is working Jujuba over from the guard. He should look to pass the guard and do a little more damage with these strikes.
Basilisk is looking to work some ground and pound but Jujuba has wrist control.

Basilisk drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Basilisk jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position.

Jujuba is trying to hold Basilisk in close to prevent damage but Basilisk has managed to pass into half guard.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up.

Basilisk dives in and grabs Jujuba's left leg, looking for a takedown. Jujuba pushes down on Basilisk's head and hops out.

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.
Basilisk avoids the clinch attempt nicely.

and Basilisk counters with a nice shoot takedown that brings the fighters to the ground.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Basilisk makes some distance and scrambles quickly back to his feet. Nice work!
Both fighters are breathing heavily.
Basilisk moves out of range of the body kick.
Basilisk shoots and misses
so Jujuba counters with a double leg into guard. Good agility.

Jujuba content to sit in guard, stalling... Great. Oh but he could get punished here because Basilisk has locked up a guillotine! Basilisk's face is contorted as he sqeezes tight on the submission attempt - will he finish? Jujuba is holding on here and Basilisk must be using up a lot of energy. Jujuba has gone limp! He's out! He's out cold! Basilisk gets to his feet, tossing aside his stricken foe. Arms raised, he milks the applause from the crowd. Great submission!
