PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Vincent White (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Hank Reardon (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Hank Reardon told me before the fight that he's been watching a lot of DVDs so let's see if that helps him in this one! I can't wait to find out!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 5 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Vincent White!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 6 - 5 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Hank Reardon!
The judges for this bout are Skip Squint, Steve Erwin and Donatello Bradman.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Reardon keeping his hands up high there, blocking the jab from White.

Reardon closes the distance and pushes White back into the cage.
Still in the clinch, Reardon scores with a nice short uppercut.
White working hard to break the clinch.
Reardon throws a punch but it's blocked by White.
Reardon throws a vicious knee straight up the middle but White blocks it with crossed arms.
Reardon lands with a right to the head.
Reardon stops a takedown attempt from White.

Reardon wants the takedown. White is fighting it off but Reardon persists and manages to bring the fight to the ground, ending up in White's guard against the cage.

White controls Reardon momentarily but Reardon frees himself.

You can see the frustration on White's face, being in this tough position on the bottom.

Reardon is nestled in close to White, controlling him well. He's worked in a nice elbow to the side of the head as well, for good measure.

The two fighters exchange a few words. I couldn't hear what they were saying but maybe it's more fun if you make it up yourself. Reardon connects with a nice short shot to White's temple.

White feints and as Reardon raises his hands in defense, White changes levels and drives through with a takedown into guard.
White keeps in close for a moment and lands a decent shot to the side of Reardon's head.

Reardon cracks White with a good shot that sees him stumbling back into the cage.
