The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
No joy there for Ulanov, who threw a few shots but didn't land.
Ulanov lands a vicious shot with the stealth of a sniper and the strength of a viper. Are vipers that strong? I can think of lots of things that are stronger than a viper - not many rhyme with sniper though.
Penn is looking to clinch but Ulanov is avoiding it.
Ulanov blocks a head kick by Penn.

and Ulanov counters with a nice jab to the body that keeps Penn thinking.
Ulanov cracks Penn with an open hand slap.
Ulanov bobbing and weaving, closes the distance and lands a hook to the side of Penn's head.
Ulanov is using his reach advantage to land shots from outside his opponent's range.
Ulanov lands with a big left! Penn is wobbled badly! Ulanov comes in with a flurry of punches and drops Penn to the floor. The ref jumps in to save him from unneccessary punishment.
Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:27 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Punches). Igor Ulanov!
