Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Mike Durham (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Ed Motta (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Durham comes to the cage accompanied by Biggie Smalls - Juicy. The crowd giving both fighters a great reception on their way into the arena. That's good to see.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
5 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Mike Durham! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
3 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Ed Motta! The judges for this bout are Mauricio Rocha, Seu Braga and Thiago Cunha.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Motta misses the jab. Durham throws the overhand right but ducks down into a quick takedown attempt. Motta was covering up waiting for the punch and Durham finishes the takedown easily into guard. Durham wants to pass the guard but Motta is keeping the position. Durham is working hard here to advance position. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Durham slips effortlessly into side control - very nice.
That's one minute gone in the round. Durham is trying to get an arm triangle but Motta is defending well. Durham tries for a kimura but Motta is defending well. Durham tries to cartwheel into mount but he doesn't manage it.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it. Motta is trying to improve his position. Durham is looking to finish here, going for an Americana. Motta knows the correct defense though, so he's OK. Durham is looking for a kimura. He might have it! No, Motta has escaped the position, nice work there. Durham working hard here to secure a kimura but he's not really in the right position for it.
That's three minutes gone in the round.
The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult. Durham goes for an armbar! This could be all over! Wait, no, Motta rolls with the submission and now he's on top in Durham's guard! Nice work there by Motta! Durham being controlled here, momentarily. Durham is throwing his legs up, looking for submissions. Motta is aware though and is defending well.
That's four minutes gone in the round. A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace. Motta showing good wrestling skills to control the position. Durham looking to hit a scissor sweep but Motta is one step ahead there. Durham escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Motta gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance. Motta tries to free his leg and advance position but Durham is retaining full guard. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Mike Durham dominated that round. OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action.
Motta misses with a looping left. Motta throws a big shot that misses. Motta scores with a hook. Motta lands a nice looking body shot.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Motta lands a big uppercut and Durham crumbles to the floor! The ref thinks about stopping the fight but Durham looks OK. Motta waves Durham back to his feet!
Durham is rocked! Ed Motta seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Durham moves out of range of the strikes. Durham slips a straight right by Motta. Motta misses with a looping left. Motta ducks down and throws a hook to the body. Motta moves in close and cracks Durham with a massive right hand! Durham, frozen momentarily in time, tumbles to the canvas, already out cold! A brutal knockout by Motta!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:42 of round 2, we have a winner by way of KO (Punch). Ed Motta!
