Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Adam Remariez! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Simon Wikstrom! The judges for this bout are Frank Dennis, Alan Glass and Robert Twigg.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Wikstrom shoots in looking for a takedown. Remariez tries to sprawl out of it but Wikstrom keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Remariez manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing. Remariez slaps away a takedown attempt from Wikstrom, before circling back to the center of the mat. Wikstrom closes the distance and clinches up with Remariez, looking for a takedown. Wikstrom pushes Remariez against the cage but Remariez circles to the side and manages to break the clinch. Adam Remariez has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Simon Wikstrom. Wikstrom pulls out of a head kick attempt.
Remariez scores with a nice takedown into half guard. Let's see what he's got on the ground. Wikstrom tries to kick Remariez off but Remariez keeps his base steady and stays in half guard. Wikstrom won't allow Remariez to pass to mount. Remariez is trying a forearm choke… I don't think that's going to do much at this level of the game.

Wikstrom wants to take a breather but Remariez is having none of it. Remariez tries to get to full guard but Wikstrom has control of the leg. Wikstrom is looking for a kimura here.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.
The referee has ruled that neither fighter is active enough on the ground and has stood them back up. Wikstrom has his takedown stuffed and Remariez counters with a single leg into guard. Wikstrom didn't expect that. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Remariez takes a little breather and maintains the position. The referee will be looking for him to stay active from such a dominant position though. It's a telegraphed submission attempt but he's gone for it anyway - and he's got it! Remariez extends the arm and Wikstrom is forced to tap!
