The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
F avoids the head kick by Schmidt.
Schmidt tries a head kick but it misses.
F shoots in for a takedown but Schmidt shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet.
F moves into range and lands a nice body kick.
Both fighters circling a little - Schmidt finishes the exchange with a kick to the body.
