The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Reed lands a nice looking body shot.
Reed moves away from the strike by Sushi.
Sushi scores with a nice body kick.
A head kick misses from Sushi.
Reed throws the kick towards the body but Sushi avoids it.
Sushi throws a leg kick which misses Reed's front leg but catches the back leg as Reed tries to avoid it.
Sushi moves out of range as Reed throws a body kick.
Sushi avoids the body shot from Reed.
Reed connects with a leg kick. He turned his hip over nicely there.
A nice inside leg kick there by Sushi. That's going to slow Reed down.
Sushi misses with a body kick.
Crunch! Sushi slams his shin into Reed's torso.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Reed fakes with the hands and throws a leg kick but Sushi is out of range.
Reed thows a left - swing and a miss!
Reed cracks Sushi with a nice right hand that draws applause from the crowd.

It looks like Yoshi Sushi has been cut.
Reed stuffs the takedown.
Sushi misses the shot to the body.
Reed throws a monster uppercut resembling something out of street fighter but it doesn't land.
Reed takes a head kick and shrugs it off.
Reed lunges in with an uppercut that skims his opponent's chin.
Reed misses with a wild combination.

Ooooh, nice body kick lands from Sushi. Reed shrugs it off though.
Yoshi Sushi seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Sushi checks a leg kick.
Reed pushing out the jab but it's not landing.
Sushi throws a half hearted mid kick.
Both fighters circling a little - Reed finishes the exchange with a kick to the body.

and Reed counters with a stiff right hand.

Reed tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Sushi was well out of range. Poor timing from Reed.

Sushi pulls out of a head kick attempt.
Sushi pivots as if he's going to throw a leg kick but stops half way.
Sushi throws a sloppy head kick
and Reed cracks him with a counter punch right on the button.

The sound of bone on bone echoes around the arena as Reed checks a leg kick.

Reed throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.
Sushi throws a low kick but it's checked well by Reed.
Sushi bobs and weaves well there to avoid the strikes.

enabling Reed to counter with a crisp jab.
Sushi blocks a head kick by Reed.
Sushi on the wrong end of a vicious looking body shot.
Reed checks the leg kick.
Sushi misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
Reed scores with a jab to the jaw of his opponent.
Reed circles away from the clinch attempt.
Reed keeps Sushi at a distance using the push kick.
Sushi is breathing heavily.
Sushi takes a body punch but keeps moving.
Reed lands a body shot.
Reed misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
Reed scores with a sloppy right hand. Sushi should have avoided that one.
Sushi gets cracked with a nice right hand there by Reed.

Reed has used his reach advantage pretty well so far tonight.

Sushi doesn't react quick enough there as he takes a shot to the body.

Reed punishes Sushi's body with a nice straight punch.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Yoshi Sushi's cut is bleeding quite badly. He's got to try and protect it.
An inside leg kick lands from Reed.
Sushi takes a big uppercut there. He seems a bit wobbly but no, he's OK.
Sushi walks forward and throws out a flicking leg kick. Reed checks it nicely though, as he moves to the side.
Reed lands a pitter patter jab to the forehead of his opponent.

Jeez, Yoshi Sushi's cut is really nasty now. The referee must be thinking about getting that checked.

The referee calls the doctor in to look at Yoshi Sushi's cut. Oh no, the doctor has called an end to the bout!
