Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Jacky Gibson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Bege Noubtiem (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Jacky Gibson!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Bege Noubtiem!
The judges for this bout are Hugh Johnson, Winston Howard and Eliza Hachem.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Gibson gets a takedown into half guard.
Noubtiem looking for submissions from an awkward position here.
Gibson tries to pass the half guard into mount. Noubtiem knows what he's doing though and prevents the attempt.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Noubtiem looking to work for a kimura from the bottom.
Gibson passes the half guard and he's now in mount! Big trouble for Noubtiem!
Noubtiem is desperately trying to improve his position but Gibson has a good base and remains in mount.
You get the feeling that Noubtiem really doesn't like being in this position too much.
Gibson content just to control the position here.

Noubtiem is controlling an arm, preventing Gibson from taking his back. Although keeping him in mount is no better to be honest.
Noubtiem is looking to improve his position but Gibson isn't that keen on the idea.

Noubtiem is wriggling around trying to escape.
Gibson content just to control the position here.
Gibson prevents Noubtiem from getting the reversal.

A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace.
Noubtiem looks gassed!
Gibson controlling the position easily from mount.
Noubtiem sneaks a leg back under and regains half guard and is working straight away to try and get back to guard. He hasn't managed just yet though.
Gibson perhaps working for something from half guard, or maybe not. It looks like he's just sitting there.
Gibson wants to pass the guard but Noubtiem is defending well.
That's three minutes gone in the round.
Noubtiem actively working from the bottom here.
Gibson slows the pace down in half guard.
Noubtiem is looking to escape.
Gibson is taking a breather. Noubtiem says something to him but it's hard to make out. Perhaps he's telling him to get on with it and actually do something.
Gibson is keen to just control but Noubtiem is a slippery customer.

A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace.
The referee stands the fighters back up. Jacky Gibson just wasn't active enough from the dominant position.
Gibson throws a jab to the body, straight down the pipe. Boom. That sent Noubtiem stumbling backwards but he manages to regain his composure quickly.
Noubtiem avoids the clinch attempt nicely.
Noubtiem gets his takedown attempt stuffed easily
and Gibson counters with a driving takedown into guard. Nice work there by Gibson.
Noubtiem has his foot on Gibson's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Gibson works his way back into a safe position though.
Gibson postures up and scores with a shot to the body and a follow up elbow to the head.
Noubtiem escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Gibson gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.
Noubtiem can't do much from the bottom at the moment, as Gibson controls the pace.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

The minute break is over - no more time for sponges and pep talks - back to the action!
Gibson has his takedown stuffed
and Noubtiem counters with a takedown into side control.
Noubtiem tries for a kimura but Gibson is defending well.
Noubtiem is working to tighten is grip on Gibson's neck. He's isolated an arm and is working for an arm triangle. Gibson has recognised the danger and is trying to turn with the submission but Noubtiem is really squeezing tight and eventually Gibson passes out! Noubtiem breaks the hold and jumps onto the cage to celebrate! Submission of the night, I'd say!
