The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Fernandez shoots for a takedown but Chapman saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily.
Fernandez waving his hands out in front of him, looking to distract Chapman.
Excellent takedown into side control there by Chapman.
Chapman advances nicely into full mount.
Chapman with some aggressive grappling here. He's looking for submissions here, rather than waiting for the opportunity to counter.
Chapman wants to finish this one by submission but Fernandez is holding onto his waist, trying to prevent any attacks from Chapman.
Fernandez is in all sorts of trouble here.
Chapman is in full mount, looking to secure a guillotine but Fernandez is surviving well by controlling Chapman's body position as best he can.
Chapman looks like he's working for a submission but he's not found anything just yet.
Fernandez really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Chapman. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

Fernandez is flailing around, obviously not happy about being mounted. Chapman locks hold of one of his arms and spins for an armbar. He's got it! Fernandez is forced to tap!
