PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Benjamin Brat (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Joe Blow (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). I'm sure you'll be fascinated to know that I was talking to some pointless Z list celebrity before the fight and he thought that Joe Blow was going to win. Let's see if he was right.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Brat will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.
Blow dips to his left and cracks Brat with an uppercut!
Brat throws a sloppy head kick and Blow moves out of range easily.

Blow gets taken down but at least he's managed to land in guard.
Blow doesn't do any damage with a couple of strikes from the bottom.
Brat stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Blow swivels though and keeps the full guard.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Brat closes the distance and clinches up, looking for a takedown. He shifts his weight and gets a nice trip into half guard.

Brat throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Blow's waist but Blow gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Brat off to one side.

Brat pausing momentarily but resumes with a couple of decent strikes that do a bit of damage.

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.

Blow is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.
