The judges for this bout are Frank Dennis, Robert Twigg and Tiny Johnson.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Ross has taken the fight to the clinch.
massie is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two.
massie looks really tired already! That doesn't bode well for a good, competitive fight!
Ross gets underhooks to prevent massie's takedown attempt.
Ross wants to break the clinch but can't.
massie changes levels and goes for a takedown here. Ross fights it off and pushes away nicely.
massie takes a nice looking leg kick right on the meat of his thigh there.
Ross bobs and weaves into range and then changes levels and scores with a nice takedown into side control.
Ross is looking to finish here, going for an Americana. massie knows the correct defense though, so he's OK.

massie is on the wrong end of a nice combination from Ross.

Ross darts in and clinches massie up against the cage.

massie is trying to work for a single leg takedown but Ross pulls him back up using the underhooks.
Larry Ross has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of brandon massie.

Ross has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.

We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if massie can do anything to dispel that myth.
Ross connects with a couple of good shots from mount.

Ross cracks massie with a nasty head shot there - the crowd let out an audible gasp there, as the noise reverberated around the arena.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Ross is controlling this nicely and is looking to make no mistakes. massie is trying to wiggle out of this horrible position. massie flips to his side and attempts to get a leg in for half guard. Ross anticipates the leg and manages to get behind massie and secures both hooks! This could be bad! Ross slips an arm under massie chin and tries to position for a rear naked choke. Ross has worked the choke in now and it looks tight. Ross is squeezing on massie like an anaconda would it's prey. massie fails to tap and has fallen unconscious! We've got ourselves a winner by way of a rear naked choke!
