The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Khool is looking to clinch but Fisher is avoiding it.

Khool wants to clinch up but Fisher keeps it at a distance. Fisher feints and as Khool raises his hands in defense, Fisher changes levels and drives through with a takedown into guard. Fisher is trying to work a guillotine from the top, or something like that? Don't know how he thinks he's going to get a finish from there. The fighters are tangled up in the ropes here. We might need a restart if the fighters can't break free themselves. Fisher is pushing down on Khool's leg trying to pass to half guard. Khool is fighting to maintain full guard but Fisher has managed to sneak the leg through. Fisher is trying a forearm choke… I don't think that's going to do much at this level of the game.

Khool tries to kick Fisher off but Fisher keeps his base steady and stays in half guard.
That's two minutes gone in the round. A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd. Fisher is trying to control the action in half guard but Khool is working away on the bottom, looking perhaps to get back to full guard. Khool really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Fisher. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out. Fisher is trying to work for a kimura but Khool is defending well.

Khool looks gassed! Fisher wants to control but Khool is keeping him busy. Fisher misses with a strike but at least he's keeping busy, looking to cause some damage - that will still help him when it comes to the judges scorecards.
The strikes coming from Fisher are missing the target in this wave of attacks. Fisher is working to tighten is grip on Khool's neck. He's isolated an arm and is working for an arm triangle. Khool has recognised the danger and is trying to turn with the submission but Fisher is really squeezing tight and eventually Khool passes out! Fisher breaks the hold and jumps onto the ropes to celebrate! Submission of the night, I'd say!
