Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Lyoto Machida (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Joe West (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Machida comes to the cage accompanied by bleed it out . West comes into a darkened arena with his song building. The All-American Rejects - It Ends Tonight kicks in, the lights come on and the crowd goes wild! What a showman! Lyoto Machida has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

The judges for this bout are Shigeki Fujiwara, Yasuomi Hirokawa and Sosuke Kotani.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
West scores with a kick to the body.

Machida slips a jab from West.
West tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Machida was well out of range. Poor timing from West.
West throws a big shot that misses.
Machida shoots in but no luck this time.
Machida slips a jab and a cross from West.
Machida throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around West's waist but West gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Machida off to one side.
West lands a jab to the nose.
Machida misses with a low kick.
West throws a mid kick that lands with a slap.
Oooooooooooh, not good. A low kick from West lands where it shouldn't have, right in the... well, you know what he did? He kicked him in the penis. He's injured, injured bad. The referee sends both fighters to their corners and Machida has 5 minutes to recover. He's OK now though... a thumbs up from Machida and we're back underway with a touch of gloves.
West misses with a jab, cross combination.
West lands with an overhand left.
It looks like Lyoto Machida has been cut.

West throws a hard body shot but it just misses.
Machida uses good head movement to avoid the hook from West.
West throws a nice looking combination but Machida bobs and weaves to avoid any damage.

Machida with poor footwork there. He got himself in a bit of a tangle, enabling West to score with a decent uppercut.
West swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.
West throws a jab but it's blocked by Machida.
West throws a head kick but Machida moves out of range.
West throws a jab when Machida was well out of range.
West throws a right hand that Machida ducks under and follows up with a left that Machida also avoids with ease.
West lands a leg kick. The shin dug right into the meat of the thigh.
West looking to take his opponent's legs away with the low kicks.
West swings wildly with a hook that is half blocked by Machida.
West misses with a head kick.
Good leg kick by West there. It's the ones that make that thud noise that hurt and that was an almighty thud.

West clobbers Machida with an overhand right that has the crowd gasping. That made a horrendous noise.
Machida tries to check the leg kick but that clearly hurt him.
Good exchange - West coming out on top.
Machida takes a nice looking leg kick right on the meat of his thigh there.
West scores with a nice head shot.

West lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Machida circles away quickly and effectively.
West connects with a lovely right hand, straight down the pipe.
West is landing a lot of head punches in this opening round!Machida had better start moving his head a bit unless he wants his face to turn into pâté.

Lyoto Machida's cut is getting worse.
Joe West seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
West tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Machida was well out of range. Poor timing from West.

The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!
West goes for a high kick. It partially lands.
West thows a body shot but no joy.
Machida is hobbling a little on that front leg after taking quite a few leg kicks so far in this fight.
West scores with a sloppy right hand. Machida should have avoided that one.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

That's time! Machida's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight.
Left hook, right uppercut from West.
West lands a big head kick that sends Machida tumbling to the mat! West takes a step backwards and waves Machida back to his feet - he wants the finish!
Machida is rocked!
Machida slips under a jab from West.
Machida shakes his hands off, looking to compose himself, but takes a jab to the jaw whilst he does it.
Oh Machida is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
West drops Machida with a naaaaasty hook - Machida is in real trouble here! West dives in to side control and pounds out his opponent for a TKO victory! The crowd goes nuts!
