Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of London, Mitch Richmond!
The judges for this bout are Steven Brown, James Ackerman and Daniel Bishop.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
El Capitan displays good takedown defense there as he swats away a double leg from Richmond.
Richmond tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but El Capitan paws at him with a jab and circles away.
El Capitan defends well against a solid takedown attempt from Richmond.
El Capitan tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Richmond was well out of range. Poor timing from El Capitan.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Richmond shoots for a takedown but El Capitan saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily.
Jack El Capitan has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Mitch Richmond.
Richmond shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as El Capitan sprawls well. El Capitan wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Richmond gets slowly back to his feet.

Richmond cracks El Capitan with a big right hand but El Capitan just smiles back at him and invites him to have another go.
Richmond has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan.
El Capitan is looking to reverse the position.

Richmond misses with a strike but at least he's keeping busy, looking to cause some damage - that will still help him when it comes to the judges scorecards.
El Capitan tries to strike from the bottom but misses.
El Capitan might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground.
Richmond cracks El Capitan with an elbow. That is naaassty.
Richmond tries to advance to mount but can't.

El Capitan is not in a great position here, taking some shots.
Richmond tries to move into full mount but can't pass El Capitan's legs.
Richmond works a knee to the body and follows up with a nice elbow to the head.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

El Capitan is rocked!
Richmond cracks El Capitan with a nasty head shot there - the crowd let out an audible gasp there, as the noise reverberated around the arena.
Oh El Capitan is still in real trouble! Will he be able to recover?!!
Richmond looking to ground and pound his opponent to a finish here.
Richmond lands a big shot there that rocks El Capitan but he's holding on and managing to survive for now.
El Capitan is writhing around trying to get back to his feet.
El Capitan seems to have got his legs back now.

Richmond connects with a couple of good shots from mount.
El Capitan knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Richmond on the ground.
El Capitan is in a horrible position here. Richmond smacks him with another shot as he tries to escape the position.
The referee warns El Capitan that he has to improve his position here as he takes two more clean shots to the head.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Richmond scores with a couple of good head shots there.
Richmond lands a couple of nice shots there from mount.

El Capitan is desperately trying to improve his position but Richmond has a good base and remains in mount.
El Capitan is breathing heavily.

Oooooh, big shot lands for Richmond! El Capitan is hurt baaadly! Richmond is firing away with more strikes - El Capitan is covering up... the ref is warning him to do something. He's just covering up though still and the ref has to step in to end the fight! This one is all over!
