Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
A bone on bone clash there as Wilcox blocks the leg kick.

Wilcox shoots in for a double leg but Hajo sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy.

Hajo stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Hajo wants it to stay on the feet.

It looks like we're going to have a standup here. Neither fighter is doing enough on the ground.

The fighters are going at a pretty good pace and they're both starting to sweat now.
Wilcox is intent on slowing down the pace of the fight, simply looking to control.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Wilcox works a leg free and moves into half guard.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.


Hajo lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Wilcox circles away quickly and effectively.
Hoshin Hajo seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Hajo throws a leg kick but Wilcox sees it coming and checks it nicely.
Hajo throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.

and Wilcox counters with a driving takedown into guard. Nice work there by Wilcox.
Wilcox slips effortlessly into side control - very nice.
Hajo is looking to work his way out of this bad position but Wilcox is controlling him well.

Hajo is looking to get back to his feet - it's going to be hard from this position.
Wilcox wants to take his opponent's back but he's not managed it.
Hajo squirming around on the bottom, looking to escape.
Wilcox trying to control but he's not successful this time.

Hajo is breathing heavily.

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.
Wilcox takes his opponent's back. Perhaps a chance to lock up a rear naked choke here.
Hajo has the hand control, trying to stop the rear naked choke.
Wilcox is looking to control Hajo but Hajo is wriggling around and keeping busy.

Wilcox has his hand under the chin of his opponent looking for the choke. He's nearly got it! This one could be all over! But no, Hajo has freed his hand and lives to survive another… well, another couple of seconds at least!
Hajo wants to get back to his feet.

Hajo tries to get to his feet, scrambling wildly. Wilcox sees the opportunity and transitions to an armbar that forces Hajo to tap. Impressive finish!
