Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Reg Dwight! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Tyson Brocker! The judges for this bout are Daniel Cesar, Matheus Silva and Alexandre Firmino.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Brocker scores with a nice one two combo and darts back out of range to avoid anything coming in the opposite direction. Dwight tries a head kick but it misses.
Dwight throws a two punch combo that lands nicely.
Brocker shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Oh and he's advanced to full mount straight away. Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Brocker lands a nice shot to the head. Dwight is writhing around trying to get back to his feet. Brocker wants to take his opponent's back but he's not managed it. Brocker working for a submission but Dwight is keeping him at bay. Dwight tries to lock up and control but Brocker gives him a forearm to the face and pushes him away.
That's one minute gone in the round. Brocker tries to control but Dwight wriggling away. Brocker throws some wild stikes that Dwight manages to avoid easily.
Brocker throwing strikes here but Dwight is writhing around nicely and avoiding any serious damage.
Brocker throwing sloppy strikes here. Perhaps if he tightened up his striking from such a dominant position, he'd be able to finish easier.
Brocker looking to ground and pound but Dwight is blocking nicely.
That's two minutes gone in the round. My god... these two guys really need to pick up the pace or everyone will leave to go get a beer. Brocker looking to control but Dwight is working nicely, looking to advance position himself. Dwight is trying to get back to his feet but can't. Brocker punching from mount but Dwight doing a good job of avoiding damage. Dwight knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Brocker on the ground. Dwight tries to reverse the position but Brocker maintains control. Brocker trying to control but Dwight is having none of it. Dwight doing his best to control the position. Can he escape?
That's three minutes gone in the round. Brocker tries to control but Dwight wriggling away. BOOM! Brocker connects with a massive shot to the dome!
That's four minutes gone in the round. Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless. Brocker unloads with some shots from mount but Dwight bucks and avoids them well.
Dwight is squirming around, avoiding Brocker's attempts to control the action. Dwight is in a horrible position here, under a barrage of strikes, he's managing to avoid any damage.
Dwight avoids a series of strikes thrown by Brocker.
Brocker tries to control but Dwight wriggling away. Brocker goes for an armbar but he's fallen flat on his backside there and now Dwight is on top in guard.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
A close round but Tyson Brocker will probably get the nod. The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action!
Dwight connects with a slap. Keep your fist closed son. Brocker uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Dwight.
A right-left combo lands from Dwight. Dwight defends well against a solid takedown attempt from Brocker. Dwight misses with a combination
and Brocker counters with a two punch combo. Reg Dwight seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Dwight lands an overhand left. A wild punch that just about connected. Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Dwight looks to land a combination but Brocker avoids it well. Dwight swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.
Good leg kick by Brocker there. It's the ones that make that thud noise that hurt and that was an almighty thud.
Dwight fakes an overhand right and shoots for a takedown. Brocker sprawls well initially but Dwight persists and gets the takedown into half guard. Still in half guard, Dwight seems content to control. Dwight stops Brocker from getting back to his feet.
Brocker is breathing heavily. Brocker wants to control but Dwight is keeping busy and won't allow it.
That's one minute gone in the round. Dwight slows the pace down in half guard.
That's two minutes gone in the round. The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena.
The referee stands the fighters back up. Reg Dwight just wasn't active enough from the dominant position. No joy there for Dwight, who threw a few shots but didn't land.
Brocker misses with a low kick. Dwight scores with a big left there. The judges will like that one.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Dwight rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Brocker moves out of range and avoids them all easily. Some wild striking there from Dwight.
Dwight thuds his right hand into Brocker's forehead from close range. That could be painful for both fighters. Brocker takes one to the chin there. Dwight lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Brocker circles away quickly and effectively. Brocker doesn't succeed with the takedown letting Dwight counter with a right hand. Dwight will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.
Brocker blocks a head kick by Dwight.
An inside leg kick lands from Dwight. Dwight throws a series of punches but Brocker avoids them all with ease. Dwight goes to the watering hole and comes back with a big thumbs up from the judges as he scores a three punch combo. Brocker blocks a head kick by Dwight.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Dwight throws a lazy head kick and Brocker counters with a thumping low kick. A head kick by Dwight misses and Brocker decides to take the opportunity to score a takedown. He's landed in Dwight's guard. The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Brocker tries to free his leg and advance position but Dwight is retaining full guard. Dwight preventing the ground and pound from doing any damage. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Brocker is looking to stand up but Dwight won't let him. Brocker postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect. As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Dwight pulls Brocker in close to prevent any damage. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Reg Dwight dominated that second round. That's time! Back to the action! This is the final round!
Brocker fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Dwight manages to avoid it. Brocker with a poor takedown and he gets countered with a snapping leg kick. Brocker doesn't react quick enough there as he takes a shot to the body. Dwight throws a head kick that misses and Brocker decides to take the opportunity to score a takedown. He's landed in Dwight's guard. A real slowdown in the pace of the fight for a moment, as Dwight holds on and takes a little breather. Brocker won't allow Dwight to get back to his feet. Brocker has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan. Both fighters are breathing heavily. Brocker is looking to work some ground and pound but Dwight has wrist control. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
That's one minute gone in the round. Brocker wants to control from the top but Dwight keeps moving. Dwight seems keen to control rather than go for a submission, at least for now. Dwight has controlled the position for a good 20 seconds, which will no doubt be starting to frustrate his opponent.

Dwight tries to bum rush Brocker with a series of wild strikes but Brocker uses good footwork to avoid the assault. Brocker gets his takedown attempt stuffed easily and Dwight counters with a lovely straight right hand! Dwight scores with a big left there. The judges will like that one. Dwight swings wildly with a couple of big hooks
and Brocker makes him pay by landing a thudding low kick. Dwight feints with a shoulder and throws a nice leg kick to Brocker's calf. Dwight lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Brocker circles away quickly and effectively.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Brocker closes the distance but Dwight moves to the side enabling Dwight to counter with a crisp jab. Dwight misses with a jab, cross combination.
Dwight connects with a right hand. Brocker shakes it off. Dwight connects with a lovely right hand, straight down the pipe. Dwight thows a body shot but no joy. Dwight lands with a slapping head kick. Brocker takes a shot right to the bread basket. Dwight works over Brocker's head and body with a nice combination. Brocker pivots, looking for a leg kick but Dwight is out of range and Brocker settles back down. Dwight connects with a hook to the side of his opponent's head. Dwight tests Brocker's chin there with a solid looking shot. The crowd are loving this. Great action here. The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end. Brocker shoots and misses and Dwight makes him pay by landing a thudding low kick. Reg Dwight has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Tyson Brocker. Dwight swings for the body but Brocker moves out of range.
And that's the end of the fight! Reg Dwight showed his dominance in that final round. I think Dwight has won this one but let's see what the judges have to say. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
