Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Fuma Kotaro (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Shoan Venom (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Chooooooooon! I think Kotaro might be my favorite fighter, now he's come out to Bang Bang. Both these guys have really solid chins. Will we see a standup war or will they both decide that a knockout is unlikely and try to win the fight elsewhere?

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Venom shoots for a takedown but Kotaro saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily.

Venom gets to the clinch - let's see what his plan is here.
Venom changes levels and goes for a takedown here. Kotaro fights it off and pushes away nicely.
Kotaro fakes with the hands and throws a leg kick but Venom is out of range.
Venom tries for a takedown but Kotaro sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily.
Fuma Kotaro has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Shoan Venom.

Kotaro looks for a takedown. He's got it. We're now in half guard.

Kotaro is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so Venom is just riding it out for now. Kotaro eventually gives up the hold.

Kotaro seems like he's working for an arm triangle here. He's freed his trapped foot and he's rotating nicely. Venom is in big trouble! He's tapping out! This one is aaaaaaaaaaaall over!
