The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Durden misses with a two punch combination.

Pharyngioma gets taken down but at least he's managed to land in guard. Pharyngioma lands a beautiful switch and he's in full mount! That could spell trouble for Durden! Pharyngioma looking to secure an arm triangle but Durden defends it well. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. The referee warns Durden that he has to improve his position here as he takes two more clean shots to the head.
Pharyngioma wants to finish this one by submission but Durden is holding onto his waist, trying to prevent any attacks from Pharyngioma. Pharyngioma raining down shots from the mount! The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Durden accidentally thumps the mat. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Cranio Pharyngioma dominated that round. The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action!

Horrible takedown by Durden or perhaps it was just good defense by Pharyngioma which made him look bad. Cranio Pharyngioma is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things. Durden throws a series of punches but Pharyngioma moves out of range. Pharyngioma shoots in for a takedown but Durden shows good takedown defense. Durden misses with a hook. Pharyngioma tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion. Durden wants to clinch. Durden shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Oh and he's advanced to full mount straight away. Pharyngioma really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape. Durden thowing shots but they're missing. Pharyngioma is desperately trying to improve his position but Durden has a good base and remains in mount. Pharyngioma is working hard here to advance position. Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here. Durden trying to control but he's not successful this time.

Pharyngioma striking off his back but it's not causing Durden any problems. Durden stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Pharyngioma swivels though and keeps the full guard. Pharyngioma has his foot on Durden's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Durden works his way back into a safe position though. Pharyngioma is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move. Durden is looking to improve his position.

Pharyngioma with a poor takedown and Durden counters with a nice double leg into side control. Pharyngioma won't be happy with that. Pharyngioma gets one leg under and gets the fight to half guard. Pharyngioma moves into full guard.
Durden really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Pharyngioma. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out. Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Pharyngioma looking to sweep here. No luck so far.

Pharyngioma has instead reached around Durden's neck and now has a guillotine! Oh, this is biiiig trouble! Pharyngioma arches his back and squeezes and forces the tap from his hapless opponent.
