Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Carl Menger (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Tim Fraser (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Menger kept the crowd waiting but all that was forgotten when his ring entrance music started. The incomparable musical genius that is Dr. Feelgood. Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the ring.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 5 rounds, in the featherweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
4 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Carl Menger! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
4 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Tim Fraser! The judges for this bout are Robert Twigg, Daniel Franklin and Chris Downing.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Fraser closes the distance and clinches up, looking for a takedown. He shifts his weight and gets a nice trip into half guard. Menger trying to control from the bottom.
Menger is working for an escape here. He's hooked one of Fraser's legs and he's managed to sneak out and take Fraser's back! Menger connects with a big shot to the side of Fraser's head.
Menger is landing with strikes from the back. Fraser wants to escape the position.
Fraser turns into Menger and is now in his guard.
Menger is throwing his legs up, looking for submissions. Fraser is aware though and is defending well. Fraser thinks about going for a leg but decides against it, in order to maintain the position. Fraser is holding a leg here, probably looking for an ankle lock - he drops back and goes for it! Menger is in trouble! Is it all over??? No! Menger has escaped and now he's on top! Fraser working away from the bottom but not quite defensive enough there because Menger has passed into half guard!

That's one minute gone in the round. Fraser is looking to control Menger's leg but it's slowly edging free. Can Fraser avoid being mounted? Fraser manages to get to full guard.
Menger has decided he wants to stand but the closed guard of Fraser is proving hard to escape from. Fraser is active off his back here, looking for submissions.
The fighters are tangled up in the ropes here. We might need a restart if the fighters can't break free themselves. Menger postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect. Fraser looking for submissions off his back, moving his hips, looking for an opening.

That's two minutes gone in the round. The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight. Menger got a little sloppy there for a moment and Fraser has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Menger has managed to get both his arms back between Fraser's legs - danger averted. Fraser looks gassed! Menger passes into half guard. Menger is looking for a kimura here.

Fraser looking for submissions from an awkward position here. Menger thows a wild elbow that connects with the canvas. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
That was a close round but I would say that Carl Menger will probably get the nod. The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.
Menger clinches up against the ropes. A head punch on the inside from Menger fails to land. Menger can't break the clinch.
Menger tries to work over Fraser's body with a swooping hook but it only glances the target. Menger makes some space for himself and lands an uppercut. Menger can't find room to land a body shot as Fraser controls the action.
Menger softening up his opponent with strikes, against the ropes. Menger lands with a left to the head. Menger escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Fraser shoots in looking for a double leg takedown. Menger defends it nicely. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Menger swings for the body but Fraser moves out of range.

That's one minute gone in the round. Menger connects with a jab. Fraser avoids the clinch attempt nicely.
Menger throws a shot from downtown. Fraser moves away and avoids it. Menger misses with a looping left. Menger jabs at Fraser's body. Fraser closes this distance looking for a takedown but Menger circles away. Carl Menger has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Tim Fraser. Fraser on the wrong end of a vicious looking body shot. Menger throws a couple of head shots and lands with the final one - a decent hook, which struck Fraser on the side of the head. Fraser shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Menger's guard. Menger wants to sweep but no luck. Fraser drops back looking for a leg! Menger is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Menger manages to kick Fraser off! Fraser jumps back into Menger's guard. Fraser is breathing heavily.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Fraser trying to control but Menger is working from the bottom. Menger wants to sweep here but Fraser controlling him for the moment. Fraser keeps in close for a moment and lands a decent shot to the side of Menger's head. Menger looking for a sweep. Not yet Menger, not yet. Fraser thinks about going for a leg but decides against it, in order to maintain the position. Menger managing to control the position.
The referee has ruled that neither fighter is active enough on the ground and has stood them back up. Fraser shoots for a takedown but Menger saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Carl Menger dominated that second round. That's time! Menger's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight.
Menger misses with an uppercut. Fraser shoots in for a takedown! He's got it and he's managed to land in full mount! That's better than Fraser was expecting from the takedown attempt, I'm sure! Fraser is looking to secure an arm. He's managed it! He's pivoting for an armbar - that looks tight! But Menger has managed to get out of it and now he's in a dominant position. Nice work from Menger! Menger wants to control from the top but Fraser keeps moving. Fraser trying to strike off his back.

Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up. Menger dips down and scores with a jab to the body. Menger jabbing away but nothing is landing. Carl Menger is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs. Menger takes the fight into the clinch. Menger tries to circle away but Fraser has him pinned against the ropes. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
That was a close round but Carl Menger did the better work so I'd imagine he'll take it. The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action!

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up. A slow jab from Menger misses its intended target. Menger throws a couple of head shots and lands with the final one - a decent hook, which struck Fraser on the side of the head. Menger will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.

A close fourth round but Tim Fraser will probably get the nod - 10:9. That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the ring so we can get back down to business. This is the final round!
Menger keeps the fight on the outside. Fraser slips a straight right by Menger. A big right from Menger misses. Menger missing with a left hand there. Fraser was out of range so wasted energy throwing that one. Fraser walks into a straight right hand from Menger. Fraser walks into a straight right hand from Menger. Fraser drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. The fighters are trapped in the ropes so we're going to have a reposition here. The ref calls for a break and repositions the fighters in the center of the ring. Menger tries to buck Fraser off but Fraser is having none of it. Both of our modern day gladiators look out of it here - an gruelling 5 rounds of action taking it's toll on them, no doubt. Fraser looking for an arm triangle but it's way too loose to do anything. Fraser is looking to finish here, going for an Americana. Menger knows the correct defense though, so he's OK. Tim Fraser has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here!

Menger gets full guard. There's a bit of a scramble here and now Menger is on top in guard.

Carl Menger is fighting for a decision here - he's started to take the cautious approach. Menger connects with a body shot. Fraser shoots in and drives through. Menger sprawls well. Menger misses with a wild body shot. Menger connects with a good right hand that stumbles Fraser. Fraser circles away out of range and recomposes himself.
