Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Lazarus Jones (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Armand Agasi (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Jones comes to the ring accompanied by Enter Sandman - Metallica. Lazarus Jones could well score a knockout today. He has the power to get to Armand Agasi's chin.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 5 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 7 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Lazarus Jones!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 4 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Armand Agasi!
The judges for this bout are Daniel Franklin, Wesley Smith and Tiny Johnson.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Excellent takedown into side control there by Agasi.
Jones manages to get one leg in to regain half guard.
Agasi wants to free his trapped foot but Jones is holding on for dear life with his legs.
Jones is pressing down on Agasi's left leg trying to get back to full guard. He's managed it.
The fighters are tangled up in the ropes here. We might need a restart if the fighters can't break free themselves.

Jones bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Agasi's guard.

Agasi has his foot on Jones's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Jones works his way back into a safe position though.

The fighters are trapped in the ropes so we're going to have a reposition here. The ref calls for a break and repositions the fighters in the center of the ring.

Agasi is throwing his legs up, looking for submissions. Jones is aware though and is defending well.

A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Jones accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.

Jones uses good footwork to avoid the strikes from Agasi.
Jones looks to score with a jab to the body but Agasi is just out of range.

Agasi takes one on the chin but keeps coming.


It looks like Armand Agasi has been cut.

The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.
Agasi is the aggressor but that punch slipped nicely by Jones.
Jones misses with a straight right.

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.

The referee has ruled that neither fighter is active enough on the ground and has stood them back up.

Agasi feints and as Jones raises his hands in defense, Agasi changes levels and drives through with a takedown into guard.
Agasi stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Jones swivels though and keeps the full guard.

Jones is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle.

Agasi fakes and then throws a beautiful body shot. Jones looks a bit winded and takes a step backwards to take a breath.

Lazarus Jones seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

No joy there for Jones, who threw a few shots but didn't land.

Agasi shoots in for a takedown and gets it.

Jones wants to control but Agasi is keeping busy and won't allow it.

Both of our modern day gladiators look out of it here - an gruelling 5 rounds of action taking it's toll on them, no doubt.

That was a close round. You could make an argument for either fighter but I would give it to Lazarus Jones.
I think Agasi has won this one but let's see whether the judges agree with me. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
