Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Jerry Lach (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Harry Dick (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Dick is bobbing his head along to his entrance song: Bullet With Butterfly Wings. Both fighters really staring eachother down here, as Harry Dick enters the ring!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 5 rounds, in the featherweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Jerry Lach!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 4 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Harry Dick!
The judges for this bout are Frank Dennis, Gwen Towbar and Robert Twigg.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Lach drops down and drives through with a powerful takedown into guard.
Dick wants to stand and escape but Lach is having none of it.
Dick utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound.
Lach postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect.
Lach throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as Dick works some decent striking defense from the bottom.
Dick is looking to stand up but Lach isn't so interested in that idea.
Lach trying to stand up but can't free himself from Dick's guard.
Lach has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.
Dick is trying to stand up but he's not managed so far.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

It looks like we're going to have a standup here. Neither fighter is doing enough on the ground.
Dick fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.
Dick throws a wild combination but nothing lands.
Harry Dick seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Lach changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Dick tries to avoid it but Lach manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Dick to the ground. Dick escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.
Dick stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Dick wants it to stay on the feet.
Dick tries to bum rush Lach with a series of wild strikes but Lach uses good footwork to avoid the assault.
Dick throws a right hand that Lach ducks under and follows up with a left that Lach also avoids with ease.
No luck with that takedown attempt from Lach.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Jerry Lach. That's going to take a lot out of him.

Lach keeping a good distance there, avoiding the body shot.
Dick throws a nice looking combination but Lach bobs and weaves to avoid any damage.

Lach closes the distance and scores a nice trip takedown into half guard. Dick did well to prevent Lach getting side control.

Lach seems to be working for a kimura but Dick defends the submission attempt.
Lach winds up and cracks Dick with a swinging punch to the side of the head.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.

Lach is sneakily working for an arm triangle but Dick sees it coming and defends easily.
Lach is breathing heavily.
The two fighters exchange a few words. I couldn't hear what they were saying but maybe it's more fun if you make it up yourself. Lach connects with a nice short shot to Dick's temple.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Jerry Lach dominated that round.
The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.


Dick swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.
Lach uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Dick.
Dick goes to the watering hole and comes back with a big thumbs up from the judges as he scores a three punch combo.

Dick rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Lach moves out of range and avoids them all easily.

The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.
Dick rushes Lach with punches - Lach moves straight backwards instead of circling and gets clipped by the second strike... and the third... and the fourth! Oh, Lach goes down! Dick follows up with more strikes and the ref steps in to end the bout!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:05 of round 2, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Harry Dick!
