Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between John Silva (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and James Myers (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
3 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, John Silva! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
2 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, James Myers! The judges for this bout are Cecil Peabody, Gwen Towbar and Robert Twigg.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Myers tries a switch kick but it misses it's target. Well, he's not going to score with shots like that. A lazy body kick attempt from Myers. A telegraphed right hand from Myers misses the target. Silva shoots in but Myers avoids the takedown attempt easily. Myers fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.
Myers catches Silva with a nice straight right. He seems pissed - ooooh, it's on now! On like donkey kong! Myers misses with a wild combination.
Silva shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Myers as he jumps to the side. Silva pushes Myers up against the cage in a clinch. Myers gets underhooks to prevent Silva's takedown attempt.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for John Silva. That's going to take a lot out of him. Myers can't break the clinch.

Myers wants to strike at distance but he can't break free of the clinch.
Myers is trying to force a seperation but Silva has the dominant position. Silva pulls guard. Silva has a closed guard, preventing Myers from standing up. Myers is using up a lot of energy trying to get back to his feet. Perhaps he should improve his position first.
That's one minute gone in the round. Myers trying to control but Silva is working from the bottom. Myers must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu. Silva throws a couple of shots from the bottom but they don't land. Myers trying to stand up but can't free himself from Silva's guard. Silva looking for submissions from the bottom here. Moving his hips around, possibly looking for an armbar.
Silva is throwing his legs up, looking for submissions. Myers is aware though and is defending well. Myers trying to control the position from guard on top but Silva is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up. Myers connects nicely with a jab. Noted by the judges no doubt. Myers sizes up Silva with a pawing jab and scores with a straight right down the middle. Myers's corner calls for a 1-2. Myers obliges with the 1 part as he scores the single shot and moves back out of range. Myers throws a couple of head shots and lands with the final one - a decent hook, which struck Silva on the side of the head.
Silva is rocked! Myers works Silva's body with a nice hook. Oh Silva is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!! Silva shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it. Silva seems to have got his legs back now. Silva is breathing heavily.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Silva shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Myers's guard. Silva trying to control the position from guard on top but Myers is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Silva won't allow Myers to get back to his feet. Myers is active off his back here, looking for submissions.

He's now in Silva's guard. Nice move by Myers! Silva keeping moving, preventing Myers from controlling successfully. Myers wants to stand but Silva is controlling his posture from full guard. Myers wants to control from the top but Silva keeps moving.
That's three minutes gone in the round.
Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up. Silva looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Myers is fending him off so far but Silva persists. Nope, Myers circles away and we're back to standing. Myers connects with a right hand. Silva shakes it off. Myers lands a jab, followed by a cross and another cross, as Silva backs up against the cage.
Myers scores with a sloppy right hand. Silva should have avoided that one. Myers misses with a wild combination.
Silva changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Myers tries to avoid it but Silva manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Myers to the ground. Myers escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet. Silva takes a shot to the body in his stride.
Silva moves forwards but Myers connects with a nice, crisp jab. Myers scores with a nice one two combo and darts back out of range to avoid anything coming in the opposite direction. Myers smiles there as he lands a nice right hand right on the button. The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Myers buckles his opponent's knee momentarily with a nice leg kick.
Nice shot by Myers. Nice sprawl there from Myers as Silva shoots in. Myers connects with a superb combination that knocks Silva out cold! The referee charges across the mat and tackles Myers before he can land any more shots to the unconscious Silva!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:04 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Punches). James Myers!
