Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Steve Fox (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Darius Colston (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Colston has chosen California Love by 2pac and Dr.Dre as his entrance music. Darius Colston struggled to make weight for this fight. He only made it down to 156.9lbs at the first attempt and had to take the additional two hours to make the official bout weight. Let's see how much it's taken out of him. Darius Colston told me before the fight that he's been watching a lot of DVDs so let's see if that helps him in this one! I can't wait to find out!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Steve Fox! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
2 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Darius Colston! The judges for this bout are Tiny Johnson, Robert Twigg and Cecil Peabody.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Colston shoots in and scores a nice double leg takedown into half guard. Colston seems to be working for a kimura but Fox defends the submission attempt. Colston tries to pass to full mount but Fox defends it. Colston looking for a kimura but he'll have to free his other leg if he wants to finish that. Perhaps he's just using it as a distraction technique.
Fox manages to escape and get back to his feet! Darius Colston seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
That's one minute gone in the round. Fox stuffs the takedown attempt from Colston. Colston gets slowly back to his feet. Colston throws a low kick but it's checked well by Fox. Fox fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with Colston, pushing him back against the cage. Fox's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does. Fox instigates a clinch. Colston letting Fox take a breather here. Fox breaks from the clinch.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Colston tries to clinch but fails miserably and Fox counters by moving into the clinch. Fox manages to break the clinch.
Colston circles away from the clinch attempt so Colston counters with a double leg into guard. Good agility. Colston gets to his feet - Fox follows without any prompting. Colston tries to clinch but Fox moves away and Colston takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles. Fox takes the fight into the clinch. Fox is pressed up against the cage. Colston has hold of a leg and is looking to drag Fox down to the mat. Fox avoids the attempt though and has circled away. We're back to striking at a distance. Colston looks gassed! Colston misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out. Steve Fox has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Darius Colston. Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Fox tries to grapple but his opponent circles and Colston counters with a nice shoot takedown that brings the fighters to the ground.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Colston stops Fox from standing up. Fox working the defensive guard well to avoid strikes from Colston. Fox wants to stand up but Colston is controlling him.
That's four minutes gone in the round. A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd. Fox will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions. Colston throws a big right hand that misses.
The referee decides to stand the fighters back up. Colston swats away the attempt to clinch by Fox. Fox really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape. Colston misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out. Fox throws a right and a left that both miss. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Darius Colston dominated that round. The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action!
Fox stuffs the takedown attempt from Colston. Colston gets slowly back to his feet. Fox has closed the distance and engaged Colston in a clinch.
Colston tries to land a knee to the body but he is off balance and Fox avoids it. A knee to the head by Fox.

Colston blocks an elbow strike. Fox unloads a knee to the mid-section. Colston lets out a prehistoric sounding urrrrgh. Colston tries to circle away but Fox has him pinned against the cage. Fox using the Thai clinch to land knees to the body.

The fighters are starting to get sweaty, which will make takedowns a bit more tricky. Fox breaks the clinch.
Fox drives through and clinches with Colston against the cage.

Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here. Fox lands a knee to the head there! That was nasty!
Colston goes for a takedown attempt but Fox pushes him away and we're back to fighting at a distance.

Fox pushes off and fires off an elbow that misses, before clinching up again, against the cage. Colston has hold of a leg and is looking for a trip takedown. Fox avoids it nicely though and we remain in the clinch. Fox scores with a knee to the head.

Colston jumps guard but Fox stands there with Colston around his waist. Colston gives up and drops back to his feet. We remain in the clinch.

That's two minutes gone in the round. Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it. Colston swats away the attempt to clinch by Fox. Fox forces Colston back against the cage and clinches. Fox landing knees to the head.
Fox tries to stall but Colston uses the opportunity to gain a better position.

Colston tries to pull guard but Fox holds him up against the cage and eventually Colston drops back down to his feet.
Colston breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat. Colston shoots in but doesn't get the takedown and Fox holds on and brings the fighters into a clinch.

Fox knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Colston on the ground. You get the feeling that Fox really doesn't like being in this position too much.
Colston can't quite control the action as he would like just now, as Fox is looking to escape.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Fox squirming around on the bottom, looking to escape.
Colston throws an elbow from mount that misses. Lucky escape for Fox because Colston loaded up on that one. Colston thowing shots but they're missing. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. Colston tries to control but Fox wriggling away.
And that's the end of the fight! Steve Fox showed his dominance in that final round. I think Fox has won this one but let's see what the judges have to say. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
