The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Bassey missing with a left hand there. Grenier was out of range so wasted energy throwing that one.
Grenier shoots in and bounces Bassey off the cage to secure the takedown into guard.
Both fighters really going for it on the ground here!
Grenier sneaks a leg through and gets to half guard. That was like a knife through butter how easily he passed Bassey's guard.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Bassey is looking to improve his position.
Bassey misses with some strikes from the bottom.
Bassey won't allow Grenier to pass to mount.
Grenier moves nicely into side control.
Grenier advances to mount.
Bassey throwing punches from his back but nothing is landing.
Grenier takes Bassey's back. Could be looking for a rear naked choke here - either way, Bassey is in trouble.
Grenier working for the rear naked choke here. He's got one arm under but Bassey is defending well. A couple of punches soften him up though and Grenier has tightened the hold! This one could be all over! It is! Bassey taps out!
