Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Mike Wheeler (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Rafael Gonzales (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Wheeler comes to the cage accompanied by Don't Damn Me. Gonzales is bobbing his head along to his entrance song: Eminem - Go to Sleep. Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of London, Rafael Gonzales! The judges for this bout are James Glass, Chris Edwards and Sam Margolis.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Gonzales throws out a token jab with nothing on it. Gonzales tries a head kick but it misses.
Wheeler displays some good footwork, moving neatly out of range as Gonzales throws out the jab. Wheeler blocks a jab. Wheeler misses with a takedown attempt - Gonzales sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses. Gonzales throws a nice inside leg kick. Gonzales stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Gonzales wants it to stay on the feet. Gonzales misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. A cross from Gonzales lands. Gonzales tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion. Gonzales motions for Wheeler to come forward. Gonzales throws a leg kick but it misses it's target. Gonzales swinging wilding here.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Gonzales is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle.
The referee has ruled that neither fighter is active enough on the ground and has stood them back up. Wheeler moves out of range as Gonzales strikes.

Wheeler slips under a jab. Wheeler thows a body shot but no joy. Wheeler with a poor takedown and Gonzales counters with a slapping leg kick. Wheeler avoids a low kick by using good footwork. Wheeler shoots and misses and Gonzales counters with a leg kick that reverborates around the arena.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Gonzales throws a quick head kick that skims the top of Wheeler's head. Wheeler checks a low kick from Gonzales. Wheeler fails with the takedown and Gonzales makes him pay by landing a thudding low kick. Gonzales misses with a head kick.

Gonzales tries to clinch but Wheeler moves out of range. Gonzales loads up on a big right hand but Wheeler slips the punch. Wheeler looks to score with a jab to the body but Gonzales is just out of range. Gonzales paws at his opponent with the jab and then lunges in with a straight, right on the button. Wheeler has his takedown stuffed and Gonzales counters with a three punch combo that has Wheeler backing up. Wheeler nods at Gonzales to acknowledge the strikes. Gonzales pulls out of a head kick attempt.
Wheeler closes the distance and takes a jab right on the nose as he does so.

and Gonzales counters with a leg kick that reverborates around the arena. Wheeler misses with a wild body shot. Gonzales fails to land the takedown. Wheeler swings for the body but Gonzales moves out of range.

Gonzales connects with a leg kick. He turned his hip over nicely there. Wheeler avoids the head kick by Gonzales.

That's two minutes gone in the round. Gonzales tries for a takedown but Wheeler circles away easily and Wheeler counters with a nice single leg takedown and he's in Gonzales's guard now. Wheeler slips nicely into half guard. Wheeler is working hard to pass the guard. He's done it - he's now in full mount! Trouble for Gonzales! Wheeler has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission. Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Wheeler is looking to secure an arm. He's managed it! He's pivoting for an armbar - that looks tight! But Gonzales has managed to get out of it and now he's in a dominant position. Nice work from Gonzales! Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here. Gonzales fails with the takedown and Wheeler counters with a shoot takedown into half guard.

A close second round but Rafael Gonzales will probably get the nod - 10:9. The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action. The crowd applaud as we get ready to start the final round!

Gonzales is looking to chop away at Wheeler's legs. Gonzales gets taken down but at least he's managed to land in guard. Mike Wheeler overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far. Wheeler forces his way into half guard. Gonzales looking to work for a kimura from the bottom.

Gonzales is refusing to be controlled, as Wheeler sits in half guard. Wheeler throwing shots but they're hitting the canvas more than the man. Wheeler is pressing down on Gonzales's thigh, looking to free his foot. Gonzales is holding on for now. Gonzales is looking to sinch up a guillotine here but Wheeler pulls his head out easily. Gonzales takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired. Gonzales has hold of Wheeler's hands but Wheeler slips his arm to the side and lands an elbow.

Wheeler working the ground and pound but Gonzales is defending the strikes. Wheeler thinks about going for a far side armbar but bails out and retains the dominant position instead. Gonzales is pushing Wheeler's head away, looking to escape. Wheeler manages to hold on to the position though. Wheeler taking a break here but Gonzales is having none of it and regains half guard.
That's four minutes gone in the round. A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace. Gonzales is trying to stand.
Mike Wheeler has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here! Wheeler wants to lay and pray for a moment but Gonzales keeps working. Wheeler is looking for a kimura here.
