Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between shea bombs (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and donald cerrone (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). I can't wait for this one - let's get the fighter introductions out of the way and get this one started!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, donald cerrone!
The judges for this bout are Ren Mimura, Shigeki Sano and Yukihiro Yamamoto.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
cerrone misses with a looping left.
cerrone works the jab nicely.
donald cerrone seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

bombs scores with a takedown into cerrone's guard.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
cerrone keeping moving, preventing bombs from controlling successfully.
bombs postures up in cerrone's guard and throws a big left but cerrone blocks it.
cerrone wants to get back to his feet but bombs is in a dominant position and won't allow it.
bombs trying to control but cerrone is working from the bottom.
cerrone trying to keep a closed guard but bombs is proving a slippery customer.

bombs gets to his feet - cerrone follows without any prompting.
A head kick misses from cerrone.
cerrone lands the left hand.

bombs instigates a clinch.
cerrone is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two.

bombs breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.
cerrone pushing out the jab but it's not landing.
cerrone avoids the head kick by bombs.
cerrone closes the distance but bombs moves to the side
and bombs counters with a thumping low kick.
bombs defending well as cerrone loads up on a big left hand.
cerrone doesn't succeed with the takedown

and bombs counters with a shoot takedown into half guard.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

bombs is working for a kimura but cerrone is defending it quite comfortably.
bombs is breathing heavily.
bombs scoring with strikes to the body and head.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
cerrone wants to get back to his feet.
bombs throwing shots but cerrone is blocking nicely.

bombs is thinking about going for an arm triangle but he can't free his leg.
cerrone regains full guard, whilst avoiding punches from bombs.

bombs drops back for a leg but he's not going to get it - he lets go and cerrone dives on top into guard.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
cerrone trying to control the position from guard on top but bombs is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
bombs is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent.
cerrone is just sitting in guard, looking to avoid any submissions.
cerrone wants to control from the top but bombs keeps moving.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace.
bombs is trying to keep cerrone in close.

Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up.
cerrone paws at his opponent with the jab and then lunges in with a straight, right on the button.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.
cerrone swings wildly with a couple of big hooks

and bombs counters with a nice shoot takedown that brings the fighters to the ground.
bombs has to be careful here, sitting in the guard of a superior BJJ player.
bombs won't allow cerrone to get back to his feet.
cerrone avoiding any damage from the ground and pound.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

That was a close round but I would say that shea bombs will probably get the nod.
The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action!

bombs is trying hard to land a takedown here. cerrone sprawls well and keeps this one on the feet.
bombs shoots in looking for a takedown. cerrone tries to sprawl out of it but bombs keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. cerrone manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.

and bombs holds on and brings the fighters into a clinch.
bombs jumps guard but his hands slip and he falls flat on his back. Well, he's made himself look a right mug there, as cerrone walks away with a smile on his face. bombs gets slowly back to his feet and shakes his head.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for shea bombs. That's going to take a lot out of him.
cerrone catches bombs with a nice straight right. He seems pissed - ooooh, it's on now! On like donkey kong!
It's a brutal combination of punches from cerrone! bombs is backing up but he can't get away as cerrone lands with one final shot to the jaw that drops bombs and ends the fight. Great knockout.
