Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 9 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Bob Carmicheal!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 6 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Brock Resnar!
The judges for this bout are Cecil Peabody, Robert Twigg and Daniel Franklin.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Resnar wants to clinch.

Resnar closes the distance and clinches.
Resnar drops down for a takedown but doesn't get it.

Carmicheal breaks from the clinch.
Resnar throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Carmicheal.
Resnar throws a nice hook to the body that draws an oooh from the crowd.

Carmicheal moves into the clinch successfully.

Carmicheal pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.
Carmicheal wants to clinch up but Resnar keeps it at a distance.
Resnar throws a right and a left that both miss.
Carmicheal misses with the combination.
A right-left combo lands from Carmicheal.


It looks like Brock Resnar has been cut.
Carmicheal connects with a jab.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Carmicheal gets a clinch.

Resnar turns his back and goes for a hip toss. It's a bit messy but it gets the job done and Resnar manages to end up in side control.
Carmicheal is trying to get back to his feet.
Resnar misses with an attempted head punch from side control.

Resnar creates some space and throws a big elbow, but Carmicheal sees it coming and moves his head just enough to avoid the strike.
Resnar throws a knee to the body but it doesn't do much damage.
Carmicheal is working hard to escape and get back to his feet. After a battle for position, Resnar asserts his dominance and retains side control.
Carmicheal trying desperately to get back to his feet here but he's not having any joy at all. He's going to tire himself out if he's not careful.

The referee has ruled that neither fighter is active enough on the ground and has stood them back up.
Carmicheal checks a low kick. Bone on bone - not my idea of a good time.
Carmicheal dodges the punch combination from Resnar.
Some wild striking there from Resnar.
Carmicheal throws a right hand that Resnar ducks under and follows up with a left that Resnar also avoids with ease.

A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd.

Carmicheal pushes Resnar up against the cage in a clinch.

Carmicheal manages to break the clinch.
Carmicheal throws a body punch but Resnar moves out of range.
Brock Resnar seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
A left lands for Resnar.
Carmicheal fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.

Resnar moves into the clinch.
Resnar is trying to force a seperation but Carmicheal has the dominant position.
Resnar swings away with an uppercut that misses.

Resnar has Carmicheal pressed up against the cage. He's trying to work for a single leg takedown. Resnar pulls back from the cage and twists to the side, sending Carmicheal tumbling to the mat - Resnar dives into Carmicheal's guard.
Resnar has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan.
Resnar trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet.
Carmicheal wants to stand but Resnar is controlling the position.
Resnar missing there with some ground and pound from the guard.

Resnar thows a big elbow that misses.
Resnar throwing shots from guard but he's hitting more mat than opponent.
Carmicheal is looking to stand up but Resnar isn't so interested in that idea.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult.
Resnar wants to control from the top but Carmicheal keeps moving.
Carmicheal wants to stand but Resnar is controlling the position.

Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up.
Resnar throws a right and a left that both miss.
Carmicheal throws a nice looking combination but Resnar bobs and weaves to avoid any damage.

Carmicheal has managed to clinch.

Resnar's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.
Carmicheal scores with a reasonable looking shot to the body. Resnar doesn't seem bothered though.
Resnar fakes with the hands and throws a leg kick but Carmicheal is out of range.
Nice sprawl there from Carmicheal as Resnar shoots in.
Carmicheal scores with a jab. Resnar acknowledges it with a nod of the head.
A right-left combo lands from Carmicheal.

Carmicheal breaks from the clinch.
Carmicheal circles away from the clinch attempt.
Carmicheal looking to throw a kick but he's pulled out of it.
Resnar misses with a double jab
and Carmicheal counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw.
Carmicheal scores with a reasonable looking shot to the body. Resnar doesn't seem bothered though.
Resnar looks gassed!

Carmicheal moves into the clinch.
Resnar is trying to break the clinch but Carmicheal has him pressed against the cage.

Carmicheal manages to break the clinch.
Carmicheal swinging wilding here.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Resnar shoots in but no luck this time.
Bob Carmicheal has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Brock Resnar.

And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Carmicheal Rushes Resnar and starts throwing punches like they are going out of style! Resnar is up against the cage and has nowhere to go. Carmicheal Piles on the pressure and Resnar crumples to the floor! This one is all over!
