Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.

The judges for this bout are Steven Brown, Colin Fotheringham and Sam Margolis.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
No luck with that takedown attempt from kupzi.
kupzi tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Trees swivels and escapes.
Trees gets a clinch.
Trees ties up his opponent against the cage and manages to drag the fight down to the ground. Trees no doubt will be looking to work submissions from his guard.
kupzi might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground.
kupzi stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Trees swivels though and keeps the full guard.
Trees keeping moving, preventing kupzi from controlling successfully.
kupzi postures up.
kupzi looking to sit in guard and control but Trees gets the butterfly guard and sweeps. He's now in the guard on the top.
kupzi is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle.
Trees thinks about going for a leg but decides against it, in order to maintain the position.
kupzi keeping moving, preventing Trees from controlling successfully.

kupzi throws some sloppy strikes off his back.
Trees trying to control the position from guard on top but kupzi is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
Trees might have to switch it up a bit here because his efforts to control kupzi kaven't been going to plan, at least at the current moment in time.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
kupzi wants to get back to his feet but Trees is in a dominant position and won't allow it.
kupzi has his foot on Trees's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Trees works his way back into a safe position though.

Trees trying to control but kupzi is working from the bottom.
Trees postures up in kupzi's guard and throws a big left but kupzi blocks it.

kupzi is trying to stand up but he's not managed so far.

A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd.
Trees wants to control from the top but kupzi keeps moving.
kupzi wants to get back to his feet but Trees is in a dominant position and won't allow it.
Trees distracts kupzi with his right hand and drops a big elbow with his other arm.
Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up.
kupzi closes this distance looking for a takedown but Trees circles away.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for jojo kupzi. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Trees shoots in looking for a single leg takedown. kupzi is trying to defend but Trees finishes it well and ends up in half guard. Let's see if he can advance position further.

Well, if Trees is going to just lie there, perhaps we should talk about what we're having for dinner tonight… I'm having a ham and pineapple pizza… Yum. Can't wait.

Trees wants to stand up but kupzi has a hold of him and won't allow it.
Trees looks gassed!
The referee walks around the fighters to get a better view of the action. Trees lands a nice short elbow.
kupzi wants to control but Trees is keeping busy and won't allow it.
kupzi looking for submissions from an awkward position here.
kupzi wants to get back to his feet.
Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up.
kupzi doesn't succeed with the takedown
and Trees counters with a two punch combo.

and Trees counters with a nice shoot takedown that brings the fighters to the ground.
Trees tries to free his leg and advance position but kupzi is retaining full guard.
Trees really doesn't want to stay on the ground with kupzi. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

Trees in full guard, throwing the ground and pound. No damage this time.
kupzi is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and Trees defends well.
Trees is sitting in close to kupzi's body. kupzi has gone for a guillotine from the bottom. Oh damn, that looks pretty tight! Trees is panicking - it looks like this one could be all over! Yes, Trees is tapping! That was a very nice submission by kupzi.
