Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Mitch Lilke (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Justin Zane (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
3 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Mitch Lilke! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! A telegraphed takedown attempt from Lilke is defended easily by Zane. Lilke slips a jab and a cross from Zane.
Zane throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.
Lilke shoots for a takedown but Zane saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily. Lilke ducks right into an uppercut from Zane. Lilke steps to the side to avoid the strikes from Zane. Zane misses with a wild combination.
Zane throws a series of punches but Lilke avoids them all with ease. Zane fakes a jab and then connects with a hook. Zane throws a nice looking combination but Lilke bobs and weaves to avoid any damage. Zane lands with a shot to the body. Zane stuffs the takedown. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Mitch Lilke. That's going to take a lot out of him. Zane throws a right and a left that both miss. Lilke staying out of range there.
That's one minute gone in the round. Lilke tries for a takedown but Zane sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily. Lilke will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts. Zane fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Lilke manages to avoid it. Zane throws a wild combination but nothing lands. A nice combination there by Zane.

Lilke shoots in for a double leg but Zane sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy. Zane misses with a two punch combination.
Lilke tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Zane swivels and escapes. Lilke shoots for a takedown but Zane saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily. Zane lands a powerful looking uppercut that connected with his opponent's jaw. Lilke really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape. Zane scores with a nice right hand.
Lilke tries to clinch but Zane moves out of range. Zane works the jab nicely.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Zane moves into the clinch. Lilke drops down for a takedown but doesn't get it.

The pace slowing considerably in the clinch, as Zane takes a break from that fighting nonsense to think about the finer things in life. An uppercut to the body lands inside from Zane. Zane breaks the clinch.
Zane thuds a left hand into Lilke's body. Zane cracks a nice hook into Lilke's ribs. Lilke takes a body punch that cleary hurt but he's trying not to show any weakness. Lilke is breathing heavily. The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Zane clinches up with Lilke and pushes him back against the cage. The referee calls for Zane to work.

That's three minutes gone in the round. Zane is stalling here. The referee will be looking to step in if he doesn't pick up the pace. Zane breaks the clinch.
Lilke walks into a left hand. Lilke walks into a jab. Lilke shoots in looking for a takedown. Zane tries to sprawl out of it but Lilke keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Zane manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing. Justin Zane is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs. Lilke changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Zane tries to avoid it but Lilke manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Zane to the ground. Zane escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet. Lilke shoots for a takedown but Zane saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily. Zane jabs Lilke right on the nose. Lilke blinks but takes it well. Zane connects with a lovely right hand, straight down the pipe. Zane connects with a crisp jab. Lilke walks into a stiff left hand from Zane.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Zane scores with a punch to the gut of his opponent. A lazy left from Zane finds it's target. A nice combination there by Zane.
Lilke is rocked! This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! A nice leg kick lands there from Zane. Zane fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with Lilke, pushing him back against the cage. Zane lands with a short shot to the head. Zane prevents a takedown attempt there.
Zane lands a nice shot to the body. Zane pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat. Good leg kick by Zane there. It's the ones that make that thud noise that hurt and that was an almighty thud.

As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Lilke takes a shot to the body in his stride.
Zane connects with a looping left hand that seems like it dazed Lilke momentarily.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Justin Zane dominated that round. That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action.

Mitch Lilke is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things. Zane moves into the clinch. Zane stops a takedown attempt from Lilke.
Zane scores with a shot to the side of Lilke's head. Lilke tries to pull guard but Zane won't allow it.
Lilke has hold of a leg and is looking for a trip takedown. Zane avoids it nicely though and we remain in the clinch. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Mitch Lilke. That's going to take a lot out of him. Kneeeeees! The crowd are calling for knees to the body. Zane obliges. Zane breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat. Lilke moves out of range of the body kick. Lilke shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it. Zane drives through and clinches with Lilke against the cage.
Zane's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does. Zane clinches up against the cage. Lilke works for the underhooks and manages to get a trip takedown into guard. Lilke trying to control the position from guard on top but Zane is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here. Zane striking from the bottom here. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Lilke has to be careful here, sitting in the guard of a superior BJJ player. Lilke is taking a break and basically stalling. The referee will not allow him to do that for long. Lilke working some strikes from top position. Lilke throwing strikes from guard but Zane blocks nicely. Zane wants to sweep here but Lilke controlling him for the moment.
That's two minutes gone in the round. The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so. Zane utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound. Lilke will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions. Zane manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Lilke manages to get himself to full guard.

Zane is holding a leg here, probably looking for an ankle lock - he drops back and goes for it! Lilke is in trouble! Is it all over??? No! Lilke has escaped and now he's on top! Zane keeping moving, preventing Lilke from controlling successfully.
That's four minutes gone in the round. The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so. Lilke controls the pace of the fight for a moment. Lilke trying to control but Zane is working from the bottom. Lilke looking to control the position here, rather than advance. Zane is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
A close second round but Justin Zane will probably get the nod - 10:9. The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action. This is the final round!

Horrible takedown by Lilke or perhaps it was just good defense by Zane which made him look bad. Zane lands with a right hand. Zane rushes Lilke and presses him up against the cage. A body shot lands from Zane.

Zane throws a leg kick which misses Lilke's front leg but catches the back leg as Lilke tries to avoid it. Lilke shoots for a takedown but Zane saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Mitch Lilke. That's going to take a lot out of him. Lilke shoots in looking for a double leg takedown. Zane defends it nicely. Lilke takes a jab right on the nose. That must have hurt but he shrugs his shoulders and looks to return the favor. Both fighters are breathing heavily.
That's one minute gone in the round. Zane tries a head kick but it misses.
A punch lands to the side of Lilke 's head but he takes it in his stride. Zane lands with an uppercut that bounces Lilke off the cage and back into rage. Zane scores with a jab to the head.
A jab from Zane misses. Zane tries to land a front kick but Lilke steps back. That was a bit too telegraphed. Zane lands with a nice low kick. That'll leave a bruise. Zane has been the more effective fighter overall so far. Zane moves into the clinch successfully.
Zane works for underhooks and lands a body shot in the process.
Lilke fails to pull the fight into his guard.
Zane escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Lilke looks like he's developed a pretty tasty lump over his left eye. He'll need to avoid taking much more damage to that. Lilke tries to score a power double leg takedown but Zane sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Lilke somewhat. Left hook, right uppercut from Zane.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Zane scores with a jab to the head.
Lilke on the wrong end of a vicious looking body shot. Zane moves into range and throws a lovely three punch combination. Oh Lilke is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!! The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Zane swings wildly with a right hand that was never going to find it's target. Lilke seems to have got his legs back now. Zane stuffs the takedown attempt from Lilke. Lilke gets slowly back to his feet. Lilke changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Zane tries to avoid it but Lilke manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Zane to the ground. Zane escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet. Left hook, right uppercut from Zane. Good standup being displayed there by Zane as he connects with a hook. Zane scores with a sloppy right hand. Lilke should have avoided that one. Zane tries to score with a leg kick but it misses it's target.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Lilke takes a really solid shot there but just smiles back and shrugs his shoulders.

Lilke closes this distance looking for a takedown but Zane circles away. Zane moves into range and connects with a jab. Lilke walks into a stiff left hand from Zane. Zane moves into range and throws a combination. A nice jab followed by a hook to the body. Lilke defending well as Zane loads up on a big left hand. Zane sizes up Lilke with a pawing jab and scores with a straight right down the middle. Lilke will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts. Lilke gets cracked with a nice right hand there by Zane. Zane throws a body kick that misses. Lilke shoots for a double leg takedown but Zane sprawls well. He's pushed Lilke's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Zane lands an overhand right. Lilke is pinned up against the cage taking some big shots here. The referee is looking closely deciding whether he should stop the fight.
Lilke takes one on the button. Nice takedown defense from Zane. No joy for Lilke on that attempt. Zane misses with a double jab.
Excellent takedown into side control there by Lilke. Zane managing to avoid any damage from the strikes thrown by Lilke.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Zane manages to land a sweep and he's now on top! Lovely Jiu Jitsu! Mitch Lilke has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here! Zane controlling the action here.
And that's the end of the fight! Justin Zane comfortably won the final round on my scorecard. I've got Zane winning every round here. Surely the decision will go his way and he'll pick up a well deserved decision victory. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
