Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
5 - 4 - 1, fighting out of New York, Billy Ba! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of New York, Budd Wrong! The judges for this bout are Franklyn Lucas, Russell Pearce and Alyssa Summers.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Ba doesn't manage to clinch there - Wrong circles away.
Ba throws a quick head kick that skims the top of Wrong's head. Wrong shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Ba as he avoids it easily. Wrong is looking to take this fight into the clinch. Wrong takes a kick to the side of the head. Wrong moves in looking to clinch but Ba pushes him off. Budd Wrong seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Ba slaps away a takedown attempt from Wrong, before circling back to the center of the mat. Ba closes the distance and clinches. Wrong can't get the takedown.
Billy Ba has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Budd Wrong. Wrong is trying to work for a single leg takedown but Ba pulls him back up using the underhooks. Wrong takes a knee right on the jaw!

Wrong changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Ba tries to avoid it but Wrong manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Ba to the ground. Ba escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet. Ba stalks Wrong and leaps in with a furious combination of punches. Uppercuts and crosses smash into Wrong's face. Wrong staggers backwards, shaken. Ba is looking to clinch. Wrong closes the distance and clinches up, looking for a takedown. He shifts his weight and gets a nice trip into half guard. Wrong throwing shots but Ba is blocking nicely. Ba makes his way to full guard. A much better position for Ba. Wrong throws a strike but Ba rolls with it and manages to sweep. Now he's in guard on top. Wrong pulls Ba in close to prevent any damage. Both fighters are breathing heavily. Wrong is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.
That's one minute gone in the round. Ba trying to land body shots but he keeps hitting the mat. Wrong utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound. Wrong looking to sweep here. No luck so far. Ba pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Wrong is keeping the position for now. Wrong is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move. Wrong looks towards his corner to check for any instructions. The corner give him nothing to work with, so he cracks Ba with a short hammerfist. I guess that's as good as any advice he could get in this position. Ba wants to get back to his feet.

Ba wants to get back to full guard. Ba is trying to maintain the position but Wrong is very close to passing his half guard. Wrong is keeping good posture, landing some ground and pound. Ba wants to improve his position but Wrong is controlling well.
