Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
8 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Reese McLeod! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
6 - 5 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, David Dickson! The judges for this bout are Jack Bonds, Frank Antenori and Timothy Bukovac.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! McLeod goes to the watering hole and comes back with a big thumbs up from the judges as he scores a three punch combo. McLeod has managed to clinch.
McLeod pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat. A telegraphed takedown attempt from Dickson is defended easily by McLeod. McLeod darts in and clinches Dickson up against the cage. Dickson wants to push off and get back to the center of the mat but McLeod has him pressed against the cage. McLeod breaks from the clinch.
Dickson throws a combination that misses and McLeod counters by moving into the clinch. McLeod breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
Dickson throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle. McLeod throws a nice looking combination but Dickson bobs and weaves to avoid any damage. Dickson throws a combination that misses and McLeod counters with a nice double leg into half guard. Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. McLeod wants to lay and pray for a moment but Dickson keeps working. McLeod tries to stand but his hand is stuck under Dickson. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

That's two minutes gone in the round. A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd. Dickson tries to slip a leg under to move to half guard but McLeod presses down on the leg and jumps into full mount!
That's three minutes gone in the round. Dickson is squirming around, avoiding McLeod's attempts to control the action. Dickson sneaks a leg back under and regains half guard and is working straight away to try and get back to guard. He hasn't managed just yet though.
That's four minutes gone in the round. My god... these two guys really need to pick up the pace or everyone will leave to go get a beer. McLeod wants to stand up but Dickson has a hold of him and won't allow it. Dickson wants to control but McLeod is keeping busy and won't allow it. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Reese McLeod dominated that round. The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action!
McLeod lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Dickson circles away quickly and effectively. Dickson throws a combination that misses and McLeod counters with a lovely straight right hand! and McLeod counters with a series of strikes. Dickson will be more careful next time no doubt. A lazy left from Dickson finds it's target. This has been an exciting period of action! Dickson swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.
David Dickson seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here. Dickson falls off balance throwing a combination

We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake.
