Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
1 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Jimmy Beater! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
3 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Milo CroCop! The judges for this bout are , Jack Bonds and Frank Antenori.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! CroCop looks to score with a combo but nothing lands. Beater tries to clinch but CroCop is having none of it. Beater changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. CroCop looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better. Beater slows the pace down. Beater working hard here to secure a kimura but he's not really in the right position for it. Beater has had enough of the ground for now and decides to stand. CroCop clinches up with Beater and pushes him back against the cage.
That's one minute gone in the round. CroCop with an attempt at a knee that misses.
CroCop lands a knee to the head there! That was nasty!
It looks like Jimmy Beater has been cut. CroCop keeps the fight in the clinch, despite Beater's efforts to push away. Still in the clinch, CroCop scores with a nice short uppercut. Beater tries to take the fight to the ground by pulling guard but can't manage it.
CroCop has Beater pressed against the cage.
CroCop tries a knee to the head but he's missed.
CroCop tries to land a knee to the body but he is off balance and Beater avoids it. CroCop tries to stall but Beater uses the opportunity to gain a better position.
Both fighters working to control the clinch. CroCop breaks the clinch.
CroCop fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Beater avoids it really well and circles away. CroCop fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt. Jab, cross, leg kick. Nice combination by Beater!
It looks like Milo CroCop has been cut. CroCop looks gassed!
That's two minutes gone in the round. CroCop throws a leg kick that misses. CroCop misses with a low kick. CroCop lands a high kick!
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Beater throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle. Beater moves into the clinch successfully.
Beater jumps into guard, dragging CroCop to the mat.
CroCop avoids a guillotine attempt easily.
Beater is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive. CroCop wanted to stand there but Beater had control of the position.

Beater tries to land a sweep but no joy.
That's four minutes gone in the round. The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight. The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult. Beater throws a couple of shots from the bottom but they don't land. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Beater trying to strike off his back.
CroCop must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu.
The referee has ruled that neither fighter is active enough on the ground and has stood them back up. CroCop shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it. Jimmy Beater has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Milo CroCop. CroCop buckles his opponent's knee momentarily with a nice leg kick.
CroCop misses with a double jab
and Beater counters into the clinch. Nicely done. A nice glancing elbow lands by CroCop. CroCop jumps guard but his hands slip and he falls flat on his back. Well, he's made himself look a right mug there, as Beater walks away with a smile on his face. CroCop gets slowly back to his feet and shakes his head. CroCop fails to land with a series of punches.
Beater moves into range and clinches up with CroCop. CroCop misses the knee to the body. Nice hip positioning from Beater.
CroCop tries to land a knee to the head but Beater blocks with his arms.
Beater is working for a takedown up against the cage. He can't get it on this occasion though. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Jimmy Beater dominated that round. Both fighters have cut men working on them during the interval. The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action!
CroCop drives through and clinches with Beater against the cage.
CroCop misses with a knee strike.
Beater tries to pull guard but can't drag his opponent to the mat. CroCop just stands there and leans against the cage. CroCop escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
CroCop displays good takedown defense there as he swats away a double leg from Beater. CroCop with a nice looking leg kick. You could hear that one land in a back row.
Jimmy Beater is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things. CroCop fails with the takedown. CroCop scores with a nice looking left hook and follows it up with an uppercut!
Beater throws a head kick that misses. CroCop has his takedown stuffed and Beater counters with a kick to the head that grazes his opponent. CroCop is lucky that one didn't land flush. Beater scores with a nice looking left hook and follows it up with an uppercut!
CroCop misses with a takedown attempt - Beater sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses. Jimmy Beater has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Milo CroCop. Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here. Beater shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it.

CroCop's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does. CroCop wants to clinch. Beater shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as CroCop sprawls well. CroCop wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Beater gets slowly back to his feet. CroCop shoots for a takedown but Beater saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily. Beater tries to close the distance and clinch but CroCop swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away. CroCop tries to clinch there but Beater circles away.
Beater shoots in looking for a takedown. CroCop tries to sprawl out of it but Beater keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. CroCop manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.
That's two minutes gone in the round. The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so. CroCop shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Beater as he avoids it easily. CroCop throws a sloppy head kick and Beater moves out of range easily. Beater throws a hard body shot but it just misses.

CroCop throws a one two combo.
Beater looks to score with a combo but nothing lands. CroCop swings wildly with a hook that is half blocked by Beater. Ouch! a nice leg kick from Beater, right into the meat.
Milo CroCop seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Beater stuffs the takedown. Beater throws a head kick that misses and CroCop makes him pay by landing a thudding low kick. Beater shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says CroCop as he avoids it easily. CroCop gets a takedown into half guard.
That's three minutes gone in the round. CroCop wants to stand but Beater has hold of a leg and an arm, so he's trapped for now. Beater is looking to escape. CroCop postures up and decides to stand up, from the half guard. The ref calls for Beater to stand up. CroCop lands with a slapping head kick.
That's four minutes gone in the round. The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so. No joy there for CroCop, who threw a few shots but didn't land.
CroCop shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Beater as he jumps to the side. CroCop shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Beater sprawls well. Beater wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. CroCop gets slowly back to his feet. CroCop shoots in for a double leg but Beater sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy. Beater fails to land the takedown. Beater tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but CroCop was well out of range. Poor timing from Beater. CroCop lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Beater circles away quickly and effectively. Beater shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has CroCop pinned against the cage. CroCop gets the underhooks and manages to circle away. CroCop tries to close the distance and clinch up but Beater swats him away and circles back towards the center. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Milo CroCop showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards. Both fighters have cut men working on them during the interval. The minute break is over - no more time for sponges and pep talks - back to the action! Ladies and gentlemen, this is the final round!

CroCop has his takedown stuffed and Beater counters with a takedown into side control. CroCop tries to escape but Beater is in control. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Beater is looking to take a break and control but CroCop is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom. CroCop is sneaking out the side here. He's bucked Beater off and has taken his back!
That's one minute gone in the round. CroCop is staying calm and holding on to the back position, whilst working on a rear naked choke. Beater is defending well though. CroCop let's go of the attempt for now. Both fighters are breathing heavily. Beater rolls and manages to get back to half guard. Nicely done.
CroCop keeping composed on the top, looking to control the action. Beater is trying to maintain the position but CroCop is very close to passing his half guard.
That's two minutes gone in the round. There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action. Beater tries to kick CroCop off but CroCop keeps his base steady and stays in half guard. Beater wants to stand back up but CroCop manages to pass into side control.
Beater tries to slip a leg under to move to half guard but CroCop presses down on the leg and jumps into full mount! CroCop controlling his opponent.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Beater is trying desperately to improve position. CroCop is going olschool here, as he tries to force Beater to tap using a forearm choke. This isn't 1993 though, so Beater shrugs it off. CroCop controlling from the full mount.
That's four minutes gone in the round. The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena. CroCop stands up from the dominant position. He obviously fancies his chances standing. CroCop looks to land a body kick but Beater moved away. Beater shoots for a takedown but CroCop saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily. The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. CroCop throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle. CroCop connects with a leg kick. He turned his hip over nicely there. CroCop wants to clinch up but Beater keeps it at a distance. Nice straight punches there by Beater. You know Roy Jones Jr respects the hands of Beater.
And that's the end of the fight! That was a close round. You could make an argument for either fighter but I would give it to Jimmy Beater. I think Beater has won this one but let's see what the judges have to say. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
