Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 3 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Larry Champshire!
The judges for this bout are Luis Engracia, Matheus Silva and Felipe Paraventi.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Gonzalez misses with a head kick.
Gonzalez fails with a takedown attempt from distance.
Champshire throws the kick towards the body but Gonzalez avoids it.
Champshire will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts.
Gonzalez gets his takedown attempt stuffed easily

and Champshire counters by moving into the clinch.

Gonzalez tries to take the fight to the ground by pulling guard but can't manage it.

and Champshire counters with a takedown into side control.
You can see the frustration on Gonzalez's face, being in this tough position on the bottom.

The strikes coming from Champshire are missing the target in this wave of attacks.

The referee asks Champshire politely if he wouldn't mind getting on with it and actually doing something. Champshire prefers to stall for the moment though.

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.

Champshire has his hand under the chin of his opponent looking for the choke. He's nearly got it! This one could be all over! But no, Gonzalez has freed his hand and lives to survive another… well, another couple of seconds at least!
