Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Yusuke Umehara (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Adam Saburo (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both fighters will be looking to make this an exciting fight for the fans, I'm sure!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Yusuke Umehara!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Adam Saburo!
The judges for this bout are Shigeki Fujiwara, Tatsuya Matsuyama and Kenichi Hosakawa.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Saburo feints and as Umehara raises his hands in defense, Saburo changes levels and drives through with a takedown into guard.
Umehara wants to stand but Saburo is controlling the position.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Saburo wants to pass the guard but Umehara is keeping the position.
Saburo looking to sit in guard and control but Umehara gets the butterfly guard and sweeps. He's now in the guard on the top.
Umehara would like to get this fight back to the feet but can't get free from the closed guard.

Umehara gets to his feet. Saburo looking to butt scoot but the ref puts an end to that. On your feet son!
Saburo is looking to take this fight into the clinch.
A head kick misses from Umehara.

Saburo shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Umehara's guard.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Umehara stands up from mount. Strange move.
Umehara throws a right and a left that Saburo avoids nicely.
Saburo tries to close the distance and clinch but Umehara swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.

My god... these two guys really need to pick up the pace or everyone will leave to go get a beer.
Nice sprawl there from Umehara as Saburo shoots in.
Saburo shoots for a takedown but Umehara saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily.
Saburo looks gassed!
Saburo lands with a kick to the temple. Umehara shrugs as if to say "is that all you've got?"
Umehara throws a right and a left that Saburo avoids nicely.
Umehara tries to score with an inside leg kick but telegraphs it and Saburo is able to avoid easily.
Yusuke Umehara is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
Umehara tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Saburo was well out of range. Poor timing from Umehara.
Umehara misses with a series of wild punches.

Umehara gets caught on his heels momentarily as he allows Saburo to score an easy takedown into full guard.
Saburo trying to control the position from guard on top but Umehara is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Adam Saburo dominated that round.
OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action.



Saburo closes the distance and presses his opponent up against the cage.
Umehara wants to push off and get back to the center of the mat but Saburo has him pressed against the cage.
Saburo drops to a knee looking for a takedown but Umehara gets the underhooks and prevents it.
Saburo goes for a takedown attempt but Umehara pushes him away and we're back to fighting at a distance.

Saburo drops down and drives through with a powerful takedown into guard.
Saburo looking to sit in guard and control but Umehara gets the butterfly guard and sweeps. He's now in the guard on the top.

Umehara stands up from Saburo's guard - Umehara perhaps looking for a knockout.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.

Saburo scores with a takedown into Umehara's guard.
Umehara keeping moving, preventing Saburo from controlling successfully.

Umehara has his feet on Saburo's hips. He pushes off and gets to his feet. Nice work.

Umehara ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Saburo moves away.
Umehara throws a wild combination but nothing lands.
Yusuke Umehara seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Saburo lands a jab-cross combination.
Umehara throws a left and a right that both miss

and Saburo counters with a nice double leg into guard.
Saburo stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Umehara swivels though and keeps the full guard.
Saburo must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu.
Saburo thows a big elbow that misses.

Umehara is edging up against the cage. He's using the cage to get back to his feet. Nice work there - the fighters are clinched.

Saburo breaks from the clinch.
Umehara misses with a double jab

and Saburo counters with a shoot takedown. Umehara fights it but they end up in guard.

Saburo moves in looking to clinch but Umehara pushes him off.
Umehara throws a combination that misses

so Saburo counters with a double leg into guard. Good agility.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Saburo passes easily into side control. Nice work.
Saburo wants to lay and pray for a moment but Umehara keeps working.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Umehara parries the strikes from Saburo easily there. Saburo is wary of posturing up too much because it might enable Umehara to escape.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Adam Saburo showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
The minute break is over - no more time for sponges and pep talks - back to the action! Ladies and gentlemen, this is the final round!

and Saburo counters with a takedown into full mount! That could mean trouble for Umehara!

Saburo throws some wild stikes that Umehara manages to avoid easily.
Both fighters are breathing heavily.

Saburo sends his fist crashing into the mat - the crowd let out a collective ooooooh. Let's hope he's not broken it!
Saburo throwing sloppy strikes, which aren't doing any damage.
Adam Saburo has got the better of the ground game so far.
Saburo tries to control but Umehara wriggling away.
Umehara is in a horrible position here, under a barrage of strikes, he's managing to avoid any damage.

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.
Saburo thowing strikes but they're hitting the gloves, not doing any damage.

Umehara squirming around on the bottom, looking to escape.
Saburo misses with a head shot.
Umehara is trying to stand up.
BOOM! Saburo connects with a massive shot to the dome!
Saburo takes a little breather and maintains the position. The referee will be looking for him to stay active from such a dominant position though.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.
Saburo trying to control but he's not successful this time.
Saburo is in a good position here but he's just trying to control... And he's not even managing to do that successfully.
Saburo thowing strikes but they're hitting the gloves, not doing any damage.

And that's the end of the fight!
Adam Saburo comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.
Well Saburo has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
