Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Edgar Minar (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and boris the beast (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Minar comes to the cage accompanied by Pijemo ga radi. Minar has a slight injury, which hopefully won't affect the fight too much. These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Edgar Minar! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, boris the beast! The judges for this bout are Paulsen Ambrosius, Saam Ante and Albert Achterberg.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Minar connects with a body shot. the beast looks really tired already! That doesn't bode well for a good, competitive fight! the beast keeps the fight on the outside. the beast blocks the body kick.
the beast tries to clinch up but Minar circles away and keeps his distance. Minar throws a quick inside leg kick. the beast throws a wild body kick that Minar sees coming a mile off. The fight stays on the outside here - Minar looks like he's thinking about clinching though. Minar gets caught on his heels momentarily as he allows the beast to score an easy takedown into full guard. Minar trying to control the position here. Minar wants to sweep but no luck.
That's one minute gone in the round. Minar striking off his back but it's not causing the beast any problems. Minar wants to stand up but the beast is controlling him. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Minar is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and the beast defends well. Minar looking for a guillotine here but the beast defends easily.
That's two minutes gone in the round. The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action. the beast gets to his feet. Minar looking to butt scoot but the ref puts an end to that. On your feet son! Minar misses with a leg kick. Minar feints with a shoulder and throws a nice leg kick to the beast's calf. Minar tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion. Minar avoids the clinch attempt nicely.
That's three minutes gone in the round. the beast scores with a spinning back kick! the beast tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Minar paws at him with a jab and circles away. Minar scores with a spinning back kick! the beast pulls out of a head kick attempt.

Minar slaps away a takedown attempt from the beast, before circling back to the center of the mat. the beast throws a body kick that misses. Minar looks to land a combination but the beast avoids it well. the beast misses with an attempted mid kick.
Minar takes one on the chin but seems OK.
That's four minutes gone in the round. The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action. the beast tries a switch kick but it misses it's target. Minar tries to score with a leg kick but it misses it's target. Minar misses with a two punch combination.

Minar looks to land a combination. the beast sees it coming but can only parry a couple of the shots. Minar throws a leg kick but the beast sees it coming and checks it nicely. A solid leg kick lands there for Minar.
the beast throws a body kick, spinning off balance and Minar counters with a good low kick that the beast was not able to check. Edgar Minar is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs. The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. Minar goes to the watering hole and comes back with a big thumbs up from the judges as he scores a three punch combo. the beast showing good head movement there, avoiding the strikes from Minar.

And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
That was a close round but I would say that Edgar Minar will probably get the nod. The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.
Like a baseball bat into the meat of his leg there - nice leg kick by the beast.
Minar lunges in with an uppercut that skims his opponent's chin. Minar is looking to clinch. Minar misses with a head kick.
Minar will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.
Edgar Minar seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. the beast tries a head kick but it misses.
Some bone on bone action there as the beast checks a low kick. Luckily it wasn't a particularly hard one. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. the beast scores with a push kick. Minar misses with a two punch combination.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here. Minar avoids the head kick by the beast.

That's one minute gone in the round. Minar throws a body kick that misses. A slapping leg kick lands for Minar.
the beast moves in looking to clinch but Minar pushes him off. Minar looks to clinch and the beast counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head. Edgar Minar is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things. Minar wants to clinch and the beast finishes the little exchange by landing a big kick to the body. the beast tries to clinch up but Minar circles away and keeps his distance. Minar lands a nice leg kick that just misses the beast's sensitive parts. Minar tries a head kick but it misses.
the beast is looking to take this fight into the clinch. Minar throws a nice outside leg kick.
That's two minutes gone in the round. A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace. A head kick from Minar lands but the beast takes it in his stride. Minar fakes a head punch and goes low to the body. Nicely done. Minar lands with a slapping head kick. Minar misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
Minar throws a lazy head kick and the beast counters with a nice shoot takedown that brings the fighters to the ground. Minar looking for submissions from the bottom but instead the beast passes into side control.

That's three minutes gone in the round. Minar is looking to reverse the position. The referee asks the beast politely if he wouldn't mind getting on with it and actually doing something. the beast prefers to stall for the moment though. the beast working the ground and pound but he's contacting the mat, not the fighter. This fight is sponsored by Chainsaw 7. More blood and guts and stuff like that, in cinemas everywhere now! Minar is looking for a sweep. Minar manages to get back to half guard. Minar is staying active underneath the beast, who seems content to just control the action from this position. Minar keeps control of the position for the meantime.

Minar gets full guard. the beast got a little sloppy there for a moment and Minar has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, the beast has managed to get both his arms back between Minar's legs - danger averted. Minar working for a triangle but the beast defends it easily.

And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
boris the beast showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards. The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action! Let's hear some noise people - this is the final round!

A head kick misses from Minar. the beast scores with a takedown into Minar's guard. Minar is looking to get back to his feet but can't, whilst the beast is controlling him. the beast wants to pass the guard but Minar is keeping the position. Both fighters are breathing heavily.
That's one minute gone in the round. the beast trying to control the position from guard on top but Minar is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. the beast postures up.
Minar manages to land a sweep and now he's in mount on top!
the beast regains half guard. the beast works his way to full guard. Good work.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Minar trying to stand up but can't free himself from the beast's guard. the beast looking to sweep using the butterfly guard but Minar puts pay to that idea as he passes nicely into half guard. Minar drops an elbow to the side of the beast's head. the beast throws a strike from the bottom that misses.
the beast is trying to stand up here but Minar is controlling him well. the beast slips a foot under and gets full guard. Nice work. the beast bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Minar's guard. Minar is trying to keep the beast in close.

That's three minutes gone in the round. the beast has gone for a leg lock! Minar slips out almost immediately though and dives into the beast's guard. the beast is looking for a triangle but Minar pushes his legs off easily.
Minar stopping the sweep attempt from the beast. Minar pushes down on the beast's leg and manages to get into half guard. the beast is working for an escape here. He's hooked one of Minar's legs and he's managed to sneak out and take Minar's back!
That's four minutes gone in the round. Minar controlling the position well but he knows he's in a bad position. You can see the frustration on Minar's face… He knows he is in trouble unless he improves his position sooner rather than later.
Minar trying to get back to his feet but the beast is in full control for now. The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. Minar breaks the beast's hooks off and manages to turn into his guard.
And that's the end of the fight! boris the beast comfortably won the final round on my scorecard. I think the beast has won this one but let's see whether the judges agree with me. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
