Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
2 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Pork Rinds! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Jack Murphy! The judges for this bout are Seu Braga, Leandro Rodrigues and Paulo Santos.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Rinds closes the distance and clinches. Rinds's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does. Rinds looks to land a combination but Murphy avoids it well. Murphy shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Rinds sprawls well. Rinds wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Murphy gets slowly back to his feet. Murphy shoots in but Rinds avoids the takedown attempt easily. Rinds takes the fight into the clinch. Rinds stops a takedown attempt from Murphy.
Pork Rinds has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Jack Murphy. Rinds breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.

Murphy misses with a takedown and Rinds counters with a three punch combination, finished off with a leg kick. Nice work.
That's one minute gone in the round. Murphy changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Rinds tries to avoid it but Murphy manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Rinds to the ground. Rinds escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet. Murphy closes the distance but Rinds moves to the side and Rinds counters by clinching up. A nice left hand lands by Rinds.

Murphy looks to clinch and Rinds counters by moving into the clinch. Rinds is working for a takedown up against the cage. He can't get it on this occasion though. Murphy wants a takedown.

Murphy not looking particularly offensive just at the moment.
Rinds in full guard, throwing the ground and pound. No damage this time. Murphy is trying to control the position but Rinds postures up. Murphy is in a good position here but he's just trying to control... And he's not even managing to do that successfully.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Rinds trying to control the position from guard on top but Murphy is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Murphy looks gassed! Rinds is going to have to think about doing something other than just controlling because Murphy is managing to avoid having the position dictated to him. Rinds trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet. Rinds trying to control but Murphy is working from the bottom.
The referee decides to stand the fighters back up. Murphy tries to grapple but his opponent circles and Rinds counters with a flying knee. Nice. Murphy shoots in but doesn't get the takedown and Rinds counters with a good low kick that Murphy was not able to check.

A head kick misses from Rinds. Rinds throws a series of punches but Murphy avoids them all with ease. Murphy with a poor takedown and Rinds counters by moving into the clinch. Rinds jumps guard and drags Murphy to the mat. He's obviously going to be looking for submissions off his back. Rinds is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent. Rinds looking to hit a scissor sweep but Murphy is one step ahead there. Rinds knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Murphy on the ground. Rinds wants to stand and escape but Murphy is having none of it.
That's four minutes gone in the round. The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so. Rinds is doing well to control the posture of his opponent and prevent any damage. Murphy wants to control from the top but Rinds keeps moving. Rinds wants to get back to his feet but Murphy is in a dominant position and won't allow it. Murphy wants to control from the top but Rinds keeps moving. Murphy is just sitting in guard, looking to avoid any submissions. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Rinds gets to the clinch - let's see what his plan is here. Rinds is working Murphy over against the cage. Murphy is trying to slow down the pace in the clinch, to catch his breath. Rinds lands on the inside with an uppercut. Rinds lands a body punch - he's looking to wear down Murphy. Rinds breaks the clinch.

Murphy tries to keep at a distance but Rinds has taken the fight into the clinch. Rinds decides to pull guard. Rinds has his foot on Murphy's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Murphy works his way back into a safe position though. Murphy wants to pass the guard but Rinds is keeping the position. Murphy is breathing heavily. Murphy seems content to control from guard here. He's going to have to remain active though if he doesn't want to get stood back up.

That's two minutes gone in the round. A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace. Rinds scores with a short punch from the bottom. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up. Murphy gets his takedown attempt stuffed easily and Rinds counters with a one-two to the body. Some wild striking there from Rinds.
Rinds thumps Murphy with a low kick. Rinds takes the fight into the clinch. Rinds breaks the clinch.

Murphy takes a body punch that cleary hurt but he's trying not to show any weakness.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Rinds closes the distance and pushes Murphy back into the cage. A hook to the body from Rinds.

Pork Rinds is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things. Rinds looks to land a combination but Murphy avoids it well. Rinds throws a series of strikes that have Murphy backpedaling.
Rinds shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it. No luck for Rinds with that takedown attempt. No luck with that takedown attempt from Rinds. Murphy tries to grapple but his opponent circles and Rinds makes him pay by landing a thudding low kick. Murphy is trying desperately to land a takedown but Rinds is having absolutely none of it. This is turning into a bit of a nightmare for Murphy. Rinds throws a quick inside leg kick.

Pork Rinds dominated that second round. Well, the break between rounds is over. Let's get back to the scrappin! This is the final round!
Rinds bobbing and weaving, closes the distance and lands a hook to the side of Murphy's head. Rinds misses with a body kick. Rinds gets in close and instigates a clinch. Rinds taking a break, stalling in the clinch.

Murphy fails with the takedown and Rinds counters with a big head kick but Murphy shrugs it off. Rinds gets a clinch. Rinds's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does. Murphy shoots in for a takedown but Rinds shows good takedown defense. Rinds throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.
Rinds gets the takedown into side control. Rinds working the ground and pound. Murphy tries to escape but Rinds is in control. Both fighters are breathing heavily.
That's one minute gone in the round. Murphy tries to control the position but he's not in luck - Rinds easily slips into full mount! Murphy is desperately trying to get back to half guard.
Rinds trying to control but Murphy is having none of it.
That's two minutes gone in the round. My god... these two guys really need to pick up the pace or everyone will leave to go get a beer. Rinds fakes a shot to the body and cracks his opponent in the head. Nice ground and pound there!
Murphy is bucking up trying to escape but Rinds cracks him with another couple of good strikes. Murphy is desperately trying to get back to half guard.
Rinds is really dominating this fight. Is there anything that Murphy can do to turn this around? Rinds cracks Murphy with a nasty head shot there - the crowd let out an audible gasp there, as the noise reverberated around the arena.
Rinds lands a big elbow. Rinds raining down shots from the mount! Murphy really trying hard to get back to half guard here.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Murphy is persisting with the attempt to improve his position. Murphy takes a big shot to the head but keeps on trying to improve his position. Rinds controlling the position easily from mount. Murphy can't escape the position.
That's four minutes gone in the round. My god... these two guys really need to pick up the pace or everyone will leave to go get a beer. Rinds tries to control but Murphy wriggling away. Rinds lands a heavy elbow. Rinds dominating with strikes here. The crowd growing excited in anticipation of a finish here! Right on cue, Rinds cracks his opponent with a massive right hand that draws loud cheers!
Murphy is squirming around, avoiding Rinds's attempts to control the action. Murphy defends a decent attempt at a guillotine from Rinds. Rinds with some aggressive grappling here. He's looking for submissions here, rather than waiting for the opportunity to counter.
And that's the end of the fight! Pork Rinds showed his dominance in that final round. Well Rinds has outscored his opponent in every aspect of the fight today. Only a scarily incompetent judge or two will keep him from a well deserved win... Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
