Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Jim Morrison (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Rampage Jackson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Rampage Jackson has the eye of the tiger tonight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 3 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Jim Morrison!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 5 - 7 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Rampage Jackson!
The judges for this bout are Albert Achterberg, Radbod Blank and Patrick Alders.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Morrison swings for the body but Jackson moves out of range.

Jackson takes the fight into the clinch.
Jackson misses the knee to the body. Nice hip positioning from Morrison.
Jackson fails to pull guard.
Morrison is looking to score with knees to the body. Maybe he'll change it up and go body then head. Jackson is defending well for now.

Morrison breaks the clinch.
Morrison dives in and grabs Jackson's left leg, looking for a takedown. Jackson pushes down on Morrison's head and hops out.

Morrison decides to change it up a bit and drives through with a nice takedown into half guard.
This has been an exciting period of action!
Jackson is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though.
Morrison is keen to just control but Jackson is a slippery customer.
Morrison thumps the canvas. Not on purpose obviously - he just missed Jackson's head.
Jackson is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two.
Morrison is nestled in close to Jackson, controlling him well. He's worked in a nice elbow to the side of the head as well, for good measure.
Jackson really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Morrison. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

Morrison working some ground and pound from close in. He's looking to maintain this position and strike for a while by the looks of things... although he'll probably advance to full mount in a minute now I've said that.
Jackson is trying to get back to full guard.
The referee walks around the fighters to get a better view of the action. Morrison lands a nice short elbow.
Morrison looks towards his corner to check for any instructions. The corner give him nothing to work with, so he cracks Jackson with a short hammerfist. I guess that's as good as any advice he could get in this position.

Morrison is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so Jackson is just riding it out for now. Morrison eventually gives up the hold.
Morrison has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.
Morrison drops an elbow to the side of Jackson's head.
Morrison takes advantage of the dominant position to land a couple of big hammer fists.

Morrison is taking a breather. Jackson says something to him but it's hard to make out. Perhaps he's telling him to get on with it and actually do something.

Morrison closes the distance and clinches up, looking for a takedown. He shifts his weight and gets a nice trip into half guard.

The referee walks around the fighters to get a better view of the action. Morrison lands a nice short elbow.
Morrison is thwarting Jackson's attempts to control the position.
Morrison looks to score some points with some ground and pound.
Jackson has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Morrison is working away from the top position though.

Morrison winds up and cracks Jackson with a swinging punch to the side of the head.

The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.
Morrison thows a huge punch but Jackson dodges it nicely.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Jim Morrison dominated that round.
The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.


Morrison throws a right and a left that Jackson avoids nicely.
Morrison fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt.

Jackson circles away from the clinch attempt
and Jackson makes the exchange count by landing a cracking kick to the body. Morrison really felt that one!
No luck with that takedown attempt from Morrison.

and Jackson counters with a three punch combination, finished off with a leg kick. Nice work.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Jim Morrison. That's going to take a lot out of him.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Morrison is looking to clinch but Jackson is avoiding it.

Jackson wants to control from the top but Morrison keeps moving.

Morrison working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Jackson doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Jackson manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.
Morrison can't keep his opponent in guard - Jackson advances to half guard, no doubt looking to mount.

Morrison gets back to full guard.
Jackson trying to control the position from guard on top but Morrison is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.

Jackson got a little sloppy there for a moment and Morrison has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Jackson has managed to get both his arms back between Morrison's legs - danger averted.
Morrison might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Jackson wants to control from the top but Morrison keeps moving.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Jackson postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect.

Morrison looking for a triangle here. Jackson is fighting it but it looks tight! Morrison pulls the arm across and this one won't last much longer! Nope, Jackson is tapping out - this one is all over!
