The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
A lazy left from Chavalo finds it's target.
Poe Jr closes this distance looking for a takedown but Chavalo circles away.
Poe Jr shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Chavalo as he avoids it easily.
Chavalo throws out a powerful jab.
Poe Jr fails with a takedown attempt from distance.

The fighters circle momentarily. Chavalo darts into range and connects with a nice straight punch.
Poe Jr takes an uppercut right on the jaw but it doesn't phase him.

Poe Jr looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Chavalo is fending him off so far but Poe Jr persists. Nope, Chavalo circles away and we're back to standing.

Chavalo lands a jab. Then a cross. Then finally a nice hook to the body. Good work there by Chavalo.
Chavalo fakes low and throws an overhand right that catches Poe Jr on the side of the head.

Poe Jr with poor footwork there. He got himself in a bit of a tangle, enabling Chavalo to score with a decent uppercut.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

A left and a right from Chavalo both land. Nice combination.
Poe Jr is rocked!
Chavalo lands with an uppercut that bounces Poe Jr off the ropes and back into rage.
Oh Poe Jr is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
Chavalo fakes the leg kick and cracks Poe Jr in the body.
Chavalo drops Poe Jr with a huge uppercut! Poe Jr drops to the floor like a sack of potatoes. Chavalo is raining down punches and the ref stops the fight! This one is all over!
