Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Tony Ramirez (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jon Forte (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Ramirez's ring entrance music is that housewives' favourite, Disposable Heroes. Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
A telegraphed takedown attempt from Ramirez is defended easily by Forte.

and Forte counters with a nice double leg into half guard.
Ramirez is working for an escape here. He's hooked one of Forte's legs and he's managed to sneak out and take Forte's back!

I really don't envy Forte right now.

Ramirez controlling the position well here. Forte rolled but Ramirez kept the hooks locked in and stayed in the dominant position.

The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily.
Forte has his hands over his head blocking the strikes from Ramirez.

Ramirez is controlling the position but Forte somehow manages to roll and ends up with half guard.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.

Forte makes some distance and scrambles quickly back to his feet. Nice work!
Forte shoots in but doesn't get the takedown

so Ramirez counters with a double leg into guard. Good agility.
Tony Ramirez has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Jon Forte.
Ramirez is breathing heavily.
Forte wants to get back to his feet but he's too absorbed in his own little project and Ramirez manages to pass to side control.

The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.

Ramirez escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Forte gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.
Ramirez is trying to control the position from the bottom.
Forte is working the ground and pound from guard. He might want to try advancing position though to get more of an impact.
Ramirez can't do much from the bottom at the moment, as Forte controls the pace.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.
Forte postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect.

Forte would like to get this fight back to the feet but can't get free from the closed guard.
Forte slips effortlessly into side control - very nice.

Tony Ramirez seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Forte shoots in for a takedown! He's got it and he's managed to land in full mount! That's better than Forte was expecting from the takedown attempt, I'm sure!
Ramirez really wants to buck Forte off and get back to his feet.

Ramirez wants to hold on but Forte pushes him away.

Forte can't quite control the action as he would like just now, as Ramirez is looking to escape.

Forte is working for a guillotine from mount but Ramirez frees his head quite easily.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Ramirez wants to control but Forte is having none of it.

The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena.
Ramirez is in a bad position, trying to hold on for dear life but he is really struggling to maintain any sort of control.
Forte lands an elbow that was bordering on illegal but the referee lets it go with a warning.
BOOM! Forte connects with a massive shot to the dome!
Ramirez avoids a series of strikes thrown by Forte.

Forte can't quite control the action as he would like just now, as Ramirez is looking to escape.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Jon Forte showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business. This is the final round!

and Ramirez counters with a nice double leg into side control. Forte won't be happy with that.

Ramirez tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Ramirez has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought!
Tony Ramirez overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far.
Forte can't do much from the bottom here.
Forte sneaks back into half guard.
Forte landing rabbit punches to the side of Ramirez's head. Not doing much damage but still scoring a few points.

Ramirez postures up and decides to stand up, from the half guard. The ref calls for Forte to stand up.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.
Ramirez tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.

Forte rushes Ramirez and presses him up against the cage.
Forte lands an elbow inside that Ramirez shrugs off.
Forte prevents the takedown attempt.
Forte avoiding damage.

Forte breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.

Forte decides to change it up a bit and drives through with a nice takedown into half guard.
Ramirez trying to hold on to Forte's head to control him but Forte postures up.
Forte passes into side control, despite Ramirez's attempt to control the position.
Ramirez is trying to control Forte's posture but Forte avoids it.

Forte moves into full mount!

Ramirez tries to get back to half guard but can't.

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.
Forte has his opponent pinned against the cage, landing some nasty ground and pound that is really making a bit of a mess out of Ramirez's face.

Jon Forte comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.
Well Forte has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
