The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Wayne throws a series of punches but Contreras avoids them all with ease.
Contreras looks really tired already! That doesn't bode well for a good, competitive fight!
Wayne throws a wild combination but nothing lands.
Contreras shoots for a double leg takedown but Wayne sprawls well. He's pushed Contreras's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.
Contreras shoots in for a takedown but Wayne shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet.
Wayne fails to land with a series of punches.
Wayne misses with a wild combination.
Contreras slips a jab and a cross from Wayne.

Oh, that's a big right hand from Wayne and Contreras goes tumbling to the canvas! Wayne follows him to the ground and looks to finish from half guard.

It looks like Vincent Contreras has been cut.
We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake.
Wayne wants to stand but Contreras has hold of a leg and an arm, so he's trapped for now.
Contreras is still in real trouble! Can Wayne finish him?

Wayne stands, ready to strike. The ref makes him back up and allows Contreras to get to his feet.
