Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Daigo Goto (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Phillip Barron (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Barron has chosen Dizzee Rascal - Bonkers as his entrance music, which hasn't gone down very well with the crowd. Buckle up people - heeeeeeeeeere we go!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
13 - 7 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Daigo Goto! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
10 - 6 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Phillip Barron! The judges for this bout are William Peck, Alec Ball and Gregory Folan.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Barron slaps away a takedown attempt from Goto, before circling back to the center of the mat. Goto fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt. Goto tries for a takedown but Barron sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Daigo Goto. That's going to take a lot out of him. Goto changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Barron looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better. Goto sitting in side control, looking to soften his opponent up with elbows and hammerfists but Barron is avoiding damage well and looking to escape the position.
Goto has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission. Barron sneaks back into half guard. Barron wants to improve his position but Goto is controlling well.
Goto is keen to just control but Barron is a slippery customer. Barron is trying to stand up here but Goto is controlling him well. Goto trying to control from half guard but Barron is working away. Barron wants to get back to full guard. Well, if Goto is going to just lie there, perhaps we should talk about what we're having for dinner tonight… I'm having a ham and pineapple pizza… Yum. Can't wait.
That's one minute gone in the round. Goto is stalling here. Barron is in no mood to hang around though. He's locked up a kimura from the bottom! Goto seems to be keeping calm but he's forced to roll out of the hold and Barron has ended up in side control on the top. Nice work. Barron is looking to take a break and control but Goto is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.
It looks like we're going to have a standup here. Neither fighter is doing enough on the ground. Goto blocks the body kick.
Barron keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl. Barron lands a big head kick that sends Goto tumbling to the mat! Barron takes a step backwards and waves Goto back to his feet - he wants the finish!
Goto is rocked!
It looks like Daigo Goto has been cut. Goto slips under a jab from Barron. Oh Goto is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!! Barron lands a brutal uppercut that launches Goto off his feet! Goto tumbles to the floor, barely conscious - the referee jumps in to save him from a beating! Wow, what an ending!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:51 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Punch). Phillip Barron!
