Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Shane Carwin (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Robert Rochon (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). The crowd seem to be enjoying Rochon's choice of entrance music: Quo Vadis - Hunter/Killer. There are an array of beautiful celebrities at ringside tonight! I wonder if any of them paid for their tickets.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Shane Carwin! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
2 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Robert Rochon! The judges for this bout are Elvis Blanc, Trevor Gratis and Ian Loll.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Rochon blocks a jab. Rochon takes one on the chin but seems OK.
It looks like Robert Rochon has been cut. Carwin connects with a lovely right hand, straight down the pipe. Carwin throws a big shot that misses. Carwin throws a big overhand right that connects, sending Rochon tumbling to the canvas! We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake. The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Carwin stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Rochon swivels though and keeps the full guard. Rochon looking to hit a scissor sweep but Carwin is one step ahead there. Carwin postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect. Carwin preventing the sweep. Rochon really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Carwin. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out. Rochon preventing the ground and pound from doing any damage. Carwin is holding a leg here, probably looking for an ankle lock - he drops back and goes for it! Rochon is in trouble! Is it all over??? No! Rochon has escaped and now he's on top! Rochon postures up in Carwin's guard and throws a big left but Carwin blocks it.

Carwin is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move. Carwin is trying a forearm choke… I don't think that's going to do much at this level of the game.
Rochon gets back to full guard.
Carwin trying to control but Rochon is working from the bottom. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Carwin drops back looking for a leg! Rochon is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Rochon manages to kick Carwin off! Carwin jumps back into Rochon's guard. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Rochon pulls Carwin in close to his closed guard and prevents Carwin from doing any damage or advancing position. Carwin wants to control from the top but Rochon keeps moving. Rochon utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Rochon avoiding any damage from the ground and pound.
It looks like we're going to have a standup here. Neither fighter is doing enough on the ground. Rochon looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily. Rochon is pinned up against the cage taking some big shots here. The referee is looking closely deciding whether he should stop the fight.
That has opened up Robert Rochon's cut even more. Nice defenses there by Rochon. Rochon closes the distance and looks for a trip takedown... aaaand he's got it - Rochon lands in his opponent's guard. Carwin is looking to stand up but Rochon isn't so interested in that idea. Rochon avoids a guillotine attempt easily.
Carwin working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Rochon doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Rochon manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem. Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Carwin looking for a guillotine here but Rochon defends easily.

Rochon must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu. Carwin escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Rochon gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance. Rochon won't allow Carwin to sweep him here. Carwin has momentary wrist control but Rochon slips an elbow through the middle. As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Rochon thows a big elbow that misses. Carwin is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and Rochon defends well. Hammerfist, elbow! yells Rochon's corner. There ya go! There ya go! And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Shane Carwin dominated that round. The cut man is working on Robert Rochon's cut. That's time! Carwin's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight.
Rochon swings wildly with a right hand that was never going to find it's target. Shane Carwin seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Rochon scores with a decent looking hook. A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Carwin. Shane Carwin is winning the standup battle so far. Carwin misses with a takedown and Rochon counters with a nice double leg into half guard. Rochon winds up and cracks Carwin with a swinging punch to the side of the head. Carwin tries to get to full guard but Rochon has control of the leg. Carwin has hold of Rochon's hands but Rochon slips his arm to the side and lands an elbow. Carwin is working for an escape here. He's hooked one of Rochon's legs and he's managed to sneak out and take Rochon's back! Robert Rochon has got the better of the ground game so far. Carwin is throwing punches to the body, looking to soften Rochon up.

Rochon is trying to push off one leg but he has to do so cautiously to avoid being submitted. Rochon trying to control but not successfully. Carwin throwing lazy shots from the back mount that aren't doing any damage. It really doesn't seem like the step up in weight is hurting Carwin here at all. He's more than holding his own against the bigger man. Rochon wants to escape the position.

Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action. So, we enter the final round. Let's see if either fighter can bring us a finish, or whether we're going to the judges scorecards.

Let's see if Rochon can do anything to dispel that myth. Carwin postures up as if he's going to throw some strikes but drops back for an ankle! Rochon is in big trouble! He looks ready to tap! But no, he's escaped and dives on top of Carwin, into his guard.
That's two minutes gone in the round. The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight. Carwin will have to put a bit more behind his punches if he's going to do any damage from this position.
