Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Angel Diaz (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Lemmy MacLean (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). MacLean has chosen Another One Bites The Dust as his entrance music. We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
MacLean stuffs the takedown.
MacLean lands a nice shot to the body.
Diaz tries to clinch there but MacLean circles away.
MacLean fails to land with a series of punches.
MacLean uses good footwork to get in and out, landing a nice hook.


It looks like Angel Diaz has been cut.
MacLean lands a lovely overhand right.
Diaz ducks straight into an uppercut from MacLean and tumbles to the canvas! It’s a flash knockdown though - Diaz maanges to regain guard straight away.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Diaz can't do much from the bottom at the moment, as MacLean controls the pace.

A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd.

It looks like we're going to have a standup here. Neither fight is doing enough on the ground.

MacLean has managed to clinch.

MacLean must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu.
MacLean working some ground and pound from guard but it's not doing any damage.
Diaz not looking particularly offensive just at the moment.
MacLean controls the pace of the fight for a moment.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.
MacLean postures up.

Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up.
MacLean drops Diaz with a right and a left! MacLean comes rushing in but Diaz regains his composure and manages to keep MacLean in guard.
Oh Diaz is still in real trouble! Will he be able to recover?!!
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.

MacLean wants to strike at distance but he can't break free of the clinch.

Diaz tries to stall but MacLean uses the opportunity to gain a better position.
Diaz can't seem to implement his control oriented gameplan at the moment. That's no bad thing of course, for those of us who want to see a good fight.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!

MacLean is using up a lot of energy trying to get back to his feet. Perhaps he should improve his position first.
MacLean really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Diaz. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

Diaz takes the fight into the clinch.
MacLean avoids the elbow strike from Diaz, against the cage.

The fighters are pressed against the cage, as the pace of the fight slows.
Diaz is trying to slow down the pace in the clinch, to catch his breath.

Diaz breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
MacLean moves into range and connects with a jab.
MacLean misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.
MacLean tries to land a leg kick but Diaz saw it coming and moves away.

Diaz shoots in for a takedown but MacLean shows good takedown defense.
MacLean throws a series of punches but Diaz avoids them all with ease.

Diaz can't quite control the action as he would like just now, as MacLean is looking to escape.
MacLean is in all sorts of trouble here.

MacLean is persisting with the attempt to improve his position.
You get the feeling that MacLean really doesn't like being in this position too much.
Diaz looking to control but MacLean is working nicely, looking to advance position himself.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.

I would just about give that final round to Lemmy MacLean.
I think MacLean has won this one but let's see whether the judges agree with me. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
