Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Sol Goldstein (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Corey Cloyde (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Goldstein comes to the cage accompanied by Nothing to Prove by H2O. Corey Cloyde is the more experienced fighter, so let's see if that makes a difference tonight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
12 - 5 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Sol Goldstein! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
5 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Corey Cloyde! The judges for this bout are Alan Glass, Robert Twigg and Cecil Peabody.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Goldstein throws a wild combination but nothing lands. Goldstein is looking to clinch but Cloyde is avoiding it.
Cloyde blocks the body kick.
Goldstein shoots in for a takedown but Cloyde shows good takedown defense. Goldstein keeping at a good range here, avoiding a leg kick.
Goldstein is looking to take this fight into the clinch. Cloyde gets to the clinch - let's see what his plan is here. Goldstein pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat. Goldstein shoots in but Cloyde avoids the takedown attempt easily. Goldstein throws a nice looking combination but Cloyde bobs and weaves to avoid any damage. Goldstein really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape. Goldstein misses with a jab, cross combination.
Goldstein scores with a jab to the jaw. Cloyde shoots in and scores a nice double leg takedown into half guard. Cloyde trying to mount his opponent but Goldstein defends it. Cloyde prevents Goldstein from standing back up.
That's one minute gone in the round. Cloyde trying to mount his opponent but Goldstein defends it. Cloyde seems to be working for a kimura but Goldstein defends the submission attempt. Goldstein is refusing to be controlled, as Cloyde sits in half guard. Goldstein makes some distance and scrambles quickly back to his feet. Nice work! Goldstein tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Cloyde was well out of range. Poor timing from Goldstein. Cloyde looks to clinch and Goldstein moves into the clinch. Goldstein lands a nice elbow from the clinch. Goldstein escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.

Goldstein throws a wild combination but nothing lands. Goldstein throws a hook to the side of Cloyde's head but Cloyde sees it coming and ducks under it beautifully.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Goldstein misses with a low kick. Cloyde wants to clinch and Goldstein counters with a nice body kick. Goldstein shoots and misses so Cloyde counters with a double leg into guard. Good agility. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Sol Goldstein. That's going to take a lot out of him. Goldstein is breathing heavily. Cloyde stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Goldstein swivels though and keeps the full guard. Goldstein keeping moving, preventing Cloyde from controlling successfully. Cloyde is trying to work a guillotine from the top, or something like that? Don't know how he thinks he's going to get a finish from there. Cloyde drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Cloyde jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position. Cloyde postures up as if he's going to throw some strikes but drops back for an ankle! Goldstein is in big trouble! He looks ready to tap! But no, he's escaped and dives on top of Cloyde, into his guard.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Goldstein stands and steps away. Cloyde gets to his feet too and we're back to the striking game. Cloyde tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion. Cloyde dodges the punch combination from Goldstein.
Goldstein tries for a takedown but Cloyde circles away easily and Cloyde counters with a single leg into guard. Goldstein didn't expect that. Cloyde stands and throws Goldstein's legs to the side, diving into side control. Cloyde prevents Goldstein from escaping the position. Cloyde is looking to finish here, going for an Americana. Goldstein knows the correct defense though, so he's OK. Cloyde wants to work for a kimura but he's foiled early by Goldstein, who protects the arm well.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Cloyde is trying to get an arm triangle but Goldstein is defending well. Goldstein sneaks back into half guard. Goldstein is trying to stand up here but Cloyde is controlling him well. Cloyde is looking to take a break and control but Goldstein is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Sol Goldstein is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things. Goldstein tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Cloyde was well out of range. Poor timing from Goldstein. Cloyde scores with a takedown into Goldstein's guard. Cloyde content to stall in guard here. Cloyde thinks about going for a leg but decides against it, in order to maintain the position. Cloyde has gone for a leg lock! Goldstein slips out almost immediately though and dives into Cloyde's guard. Cloyde is looking for a triangle but Goldstein pushes his legs off easily.
That's one minute gone in the round. Goldstein preventing the sweep. Goldstein advances position into side control! Cloyde is looking to regain half guard here but Goldstein keeps moving and retains side control. Goldstein is staying tight to Cloyde's torso, preventing him from escaping. Goldstein is looking to take a break and control but Cloyde is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom. Cloyde is trying to improve his position.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it. Goldstein will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions. Goldstein decides to take the fight back to the feet. Goldstein gets his takedown attempt stuffed easily and Cloyde counters with a nice double leg into guard. Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here. Cloyde is holding a leg here, probably looking for an ankle lock - he drops back and goes for it! Goldstein is in trouble! Is it all over??? No! Goldstein has escaped and now he's on top! Cloyde escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Goldstein gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance. Goldstein is just sitting in guard, looking to avoid any submissions.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Goldstein pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Cloyde is keeping the position for now. Cloyde is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle. Cloyde looking for a sweep. Not yet Cloyde, not yet. Cloyde is looking for a triangle here but Goldstein uses the submission attempt to pass into side control.
Goldstein stands up. Cloyde is looking to clinch.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Cloyde blocks a head kick by Goldstein.
Sol Goldstein seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Goldstein lands with a head kick! That's gotta hurt. Cloyde wants to clinch. Cloyde misses with a takedown attempt - Goldstein sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses. Goldstein throws a right and a left that Cloyde avoids nicely. Cloyde is on the wrong end of a nice combination from Goldstein. Goldstein looks for a takedown but Cloyde sprawls well. Goldstein misses with a wild combination.
Cloyde instigates a clinch. Cloyde tries to pull guard but Goldstein holds him up against the cage and eventually Cloyde drops back down to his feet.

A close second round but Corey Cloyde will probably get the nod - 10:9. The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action. This is the final round!
Oooooooooooh, not good. A low kick from Cloyde lands where it shouldn't have, right in the... well, you know what he did? He kicked him in the penis. He's injured, injured bad. The referee sends both fighters to their corners and Goldstein has 5 minutes to recover. He's OK now though... a thumbs up from Goldstein and we're back underway with a touch of gloves. Goldstein wants to clinch. Cloyde gets the takedown into side control. A bit of a lull in the action. I'm sure it will pick up again soon... even if the ref has to physically pick them up and put them back on their feet. Goldstein tries to improve position but can't. Cloyde advances to mount. Cloyde tries to take Goldstein's back but instead Goldstein uses the opportunity to regain half guard. Goldstein wants to control the action here but instead Cloyde manages to pass to full mount! Cloyde looks like he's working for a submission but he's not found anything just yet. Both fighters are breathing heavily.
That's one minute gone in the round. Goldstein is desperately trying to get back to half guard.
Cloyde moves to the back. Cloyde is working for the choke. It looks like he might have got it... has he...? Yes! Goldstein is tapping out! This one is all over!
