Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 3 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Richard Green!
The judges for this bout are Frank Dennis, Cecil Peabody and Gwen Towbar.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Adams shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Let's see what he's got on the mat.
Green being controlled here, momentarily.

Adams postures up as if he's going to throw some strikes but drops back for an ankle! Green is in big trouble! He looks ready to tap! But no, he's escaped and dives on top of Adams, into his guard.
Green trying to stand up but can't free himself from Adams's guard.
Adams looking to hit a scissor sweep but Green is one step ahead there.
Green wants to stand but Adams has a closed guard, so he can't escape.
Green trying to control the position from guard on top but Adams is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Green trying to land body shots but he keeps hitting the mat.

Green thows a big elbow that misses.
Green must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu.

Green got a little sloppy there for a moment and Adams has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Green has managed to get both his arms back between Adams's legs - danger averted.
Adams is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move.
Green is trying to control but can't.
Adams moves into full mount! Green won't be happy about that!

Green is persisting with the attempt to improve his position.

Adams looking for an armbar but decides to keep the dominant position instead.
Adams controlling from mount.
Adams working away from the top, dropping strikes.
Green keeping his composure momentarily, calmly looking to get back to half guard.
Adams is landing with some decent strikes but Green is trying to advance his position so the referee is letting the fight continue.

Adams lands an elbow that was bordering on illegal but the referee lets it go with a warning.
The referee warns Green that he has to improve his position here as he takes two more clean shots to the head.
Adams looking to finish Green with some ground and pound. This is bad for Green!
Green looks gassed!
Green is desperately trying to improve his position but Adams has a good base and remains in mount.

Adams is thinking about an arm triangle here, looking to tighten it up before moving to side control. Green can see it coming though and defends well with a couple of strikes to the head and some good arm positioning.
Adams fails to move to back control.
Green can't escape the position.
A nice elbow there by Adams.
Adams lands with some vicious ground and pound - can Green hang on?

Adams has his opponent pinned against the cage, landing some nasty ground and pound that is really making a bit of a mess out of Green's face.
Adams connects with a couple of good shots from mount.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Adams scoring with strikes but Green is staying in there.

As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

A left and a right from Adams both land. Nice combination.
Adams moves out of range as Green throws a body kick.

Adams shoots in for a takedown and gets it.

Adams is trying a forearm choke… I don't think that's going to do much at this level of the game.
Green is in trouble now - Adams has advanced to mount!
Green is breathing heavily.
Adams is landing with some decent strikes but Green is trying to advance his position so the referee is letting the fight continue.

Adams is working close to his opponent, looking to work a submission by the looks of things. Oh, he's managed to get a guillotine from mount as his opponent reached up! That looks tiiiiight! Will he tap? YES, he's tapped! Impressive submission by Adams!
