Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Rudolph Carnage!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of
1 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Joe Fernandes!
The judges for this bout are Leandro Rodrigues, Luis Engracia and Paulo Santos.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Fernandes tries to close the distance and clinch but Carnage swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.
Carnage circles away from the clinch attempt.
Carnage takes a kick to the side of the head.
Fernandes gets caught on his heels momentarily as he allows Carnage to score an easy takedown into full guard.
Fernandes can't keep his opponent in guard - Carnage advances to half guard, no doubt looking to mount.
Carnage slows the pace down in half guard.
Fernandes punching from the bottom.
Fernandes really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Carnage. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
Carnage stops Fernandes from getting back to his feet.
Carnage passes to full mount!
Fernandes is wriggling around trying to escape.
Fernandes tries to lock up and control but Carnage gives him a forearm to the face and pushes him away.
Fernandes tries to reverse the position but Carnage maintains control.
That's one minute gone in the round.
Carnage blocks Fernandes's feeble attempts to strike from the bottom.
Carnage quickly switches position and commits to an armbar! It's a big risk for Carnage but it's paid off an Fernandes is forced to tap! Nice work by Carnage.
