The judges for this bout are Mauricio Rocha, Emerson Jorge and Alexandre Firmino.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
A combination from Duffe does no damage.
Hoffman looks for a takedown but Duffe sprawls well.
Hoffman closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth.
Hoffman tries for a kimura but Duffe is defending well.
Duffe is looking for a sweep.
Hoffman goes for an armbar here - this could be all over! But no, Duffe has escaped beautifully and is now on top in side control! Oh, that's unlucky for Hoffman but great work by Duffe.
Hoffman tries to control the position but he's not in luck - Duffe easily slips into full mount!
We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Hoffman can do anything to dispel that myth.
Duffe can't quite control the action as he would like just now, as Hoffman is looking to escape.
