The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Lubomirskis shoots in for a takedown but Belfort shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet.

Belfort throws a shot from downtown. Lubomirskis moves away and avoids it.

Belfort is looking to clinch but Lubomirskis is avoiding it.
Gegard Belfort is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
A slow jab from Belfort misses its intended target.
Belfort lands an overhand left. A wild punch that just about connected.

Lubomirskis misses with a takedown attempt - Belfort sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses.
Belfort just misses with a punch to the body.
Belfort fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Lubomirskis manages to avoid it.
Belfort darts in and clinches Lubomirskis up against the cage.
Lubomirskis tries to take the fight to the ground by pulling guard but can't manage it.
Belfort breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.
Lubomirskis takes a jab on the nose. He smiles like he loves it and keeps coming.
Belfort drops Lubomirskis with a hook right on the temple. He thinks about going to the ground but Lubomirskis looks back up at him and smiles so Belfort waves him back to his feet - he obviously thinks he can knock him out after that shot landed.
Belfort throws a lazy right hand but Lubomirskis sees it coming a mile off and sidesteps it easily.
Belfort closes the distance and pushes Lubomirskis back into the cage.
Lubomirskis tries to jump guard but he falls flat on his backside. Belfort smiles and moves away.
That's three minutes gone in the round.
Lubomirskis uses good footwork to avoid the strikes from Belfort.
A right-left combo lands from Belfort.
A punch lands to the side of Lubomirskis 's head but he takes it in his stride.
Belfort throws an overhand right that drops Lubomirskis like a sack of potatoes! Belfort dives in to finish the fight with more strikes and this one is all over!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:23 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Gegard Belfort!
