The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
hand throws a nice looking combination but Itsu bobs and weaves to avoid any damage.
Itsu feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position.
hand is trying to keep Itsu in close.
hand looking to control the pace of the fight rather than finish it.
Itsu passes hand's left leg - he's now in half guard.
Itsu trying to pass the guard but hand defending well.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Itsu has freed up his trapped foot and advances to mount.
Itsu throws some wild stikes that hand manages to avoid easily.

hand is trying to escape the mount but Itsu keeps good control and instead manages to take hand's back.

The crowd hopeful of a finish here - Itsu's supporters are on their feet, screaming for him to go for the rear naked choke.
Even with his hooks in, Itsu manages to miss with strikes from the back.

Itsu shoots in looking for a single leg takedown. hand is trying to defend but Itsu finishes it well and ends up in half guard. Let's see if he can advance position further.

Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.
Itsu thinks about going for a far side armbar but bails out and retains the dominant position instead.

hand dodges the ground and pound from Itsu.
Itsu tries for a kimura but hand is defending well.
Itsu tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Itsu has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought!

Itsu looking to punish the body of his opponent here but hand is avoiding damage well.

Itsu tries for a kimura but hand is defending well.
Itsu is looking to finish here, going for an Americana. hand knows the correct defense though, so he's OK.
hand is sneaking out the side here. He's bucked Itsu off and has taken his back!

hand misses with a punch to the head.
Itsu manages to reverse the position and now he's in hand's guard. Nice work there by Itsu.
Itsu works a leg free and moves into half guard.

Itsu looking for a kimura but he'll have to free his other leg if he wants to finish that. Perhaps he's just using it as a distraction technique.
Itsu is working for a submission of some sort.
hand wants to get back to full guard.

A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace.

hand is defending against the submission attempts here by Itsu.
Itsu passes the guard and advances to mount!
hand wriggling around on the bottom manages to avoid the strikes thrown by Itsu.

Itsu looking to ground and pound but hand is blocking nicely.

Juju Itsu showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action! This is the final round!
Itsu closes the distance and presses his opponent up against the cage.
Itsu's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.
hand pulls out of a head kick attempt.
Itsu shoots in and bounces hand off the cage to secure the takedown into guard.
hand is looking to get back to his feet but can't, whilst Itsu is controlling him.
Itsu trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet.
hand utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound.
Itsu is pushing down on hand's leg trying to pass to half guard. hand is fighting to maintain full guard but Itsu has managed to sneak the leg through.
Both fighters are breathing heavily.

Itsu works his way into side control.
Itsu happy to just control the position for now.
Let's hope that Itsu has the urge to step up the pace any second now because for the last 15 or 20 seconds he's just been holding on tight.
